I rented a 2015 Toyota HiAce from AutoSleepers (aka Campervan Finder) in July 2026. Finding and selecting the listing from the large inventory on the web site was pretty easy. Gust gave me a competitive quote and was helpful and responsive to all my questions. Once I decided on my dates (12 days in North Queensland) the booking was completed with a credit card deposit. Later I was able to settle the remaining balance through direct bank deposit with Wise. Now, my expectations weren’t great after reading Google reviews of AutoSleepers in Cairns, the location where I was to retrieve the van. Maybe it was too good of a bargain? Also a bit concerning that AutoSleepers contracts with another business, Camperman Australia, to do all the checking out and in of the vehicles in Cairns. When I arrived on the day of pick up, the Camperman reps couldn’t answer a lot of my questions about setting up and using various van features, what to do in case of an emergency, etc. They simply referred me to AutoSleepers. I did however appreciate that they made a thorough inspection of preexisting damage and blemishes to the vehicle. After a couple days into the trip I started to relax and enjoy the ren

terrible slow and drawn out customer service with no ability to actually get any meaningful information to book anything. they provided time frames for communication that they then didnt meet and repeatedly gave me different email addresses to request the dame quote with atleast 2 people not actually responding. initially it took 5 hours with my message sent around 11:30am and first response asking me to email someone received at 4:43. Currently 7:30pm with no beneficial response to anything.
