The van was competitively priced, clean and ran well. Not brand new but that was reflected in the hire cost. Very pleased with our second Camperman experience. Went for two weeks on this occasion and travelled 3653 km. Only significant grumble was that the gas stove igniter didn’t work and we had to borrow a fire lighter from another camper the first night. Bought some matches day 2 and left them in the utensils tray for the next client. We live near the pick up depot and provided a lot of our own items - knives, pillows, doona, towels (used the towels provided to stop the crockery from moving about while in transit), a plug into the cigarette lighter facility phone charger and a floor mat in the rear cabin (it got very dirty and has been consigned to land fill) The girls in the office at Taren Point were lovely and very professional. Overall we were very satisfied customers.

Wow. Where do I begin, this was by far my worst customer experience. We paid a relatively cheap price for a camper for 25 nights, so I was willing to let some things slide considering the cost compared to other providers, but eventually it all just got a bit ridiculous. We picked up our campervan from Sydney. We got into the van once we had gone over paperwork etc and got on the road excited for our trip. On closer inspection, the towels provided absolutely stunk. As if they had been used for several weeks and not cleaned. The "bedding" that was also provided was a wafer thin sleeping bag and a pillow about as thick as two sheets of A4 paper. In the end, we went out and bought our own bedding and towels. The fridge also reeked, like it had been filled with off food. Like I said at the start, I was willing to let some things slide given the cost. Then, we tried to use the power on our 3rd night (1st 2 nights we were at unpowered sites). We had no luck. I phoned camperman, and we troubleshooted the issues with no success, so they organised an electrician to attend the following day. Great I thought. The electrician was a contractor who replaced the base power inlet connection. H

Walked into the shop at 201 William St last week and got a quote from AJ. He found me a Spaceship for the Easter break, and even got me a free camping table and chairs at no charge. Cheers mate! PS. If the staff have gone to lunch and are not in the store, just ring the number on the sign. AJ was back within 2 minutes.

We hired a 4WD Camper from Cairns to Darwin and loved the adventure. The staff in the Sydney office were very helpful in explaining the differences between the various suppliers and were very knowledgeable with explaining the different insurance options. If your in Sydney you need to visit their office to get the best deal around.

We looked carefully for a campervan company and Campervan Rental Sydney was the cheapest guys by far. We read so many bad reviews about other companies and were hesitant to make a booking but everything went so smooth and I was happy with low top campervan we rented. Would book again.
