I have always struggled with barbers, and for years I have just cut my own hair because I always felt like no barber could do a job that felt worth the price. I can honestly say Mario has been completely refreshing and changing my attitude. I paid $65 which is a premium price to me but twice now I have left very happy and feeling confident with how I look. On top of this Mario is an excellent conversationalist and he provides an all round great service. He is someone who cares deeply about producing a quality product and he is committed to his craft. Mario gave me one of the best cuts I’ve had. He really took his time to make sure every detail was on point. I usually go for a short burst zero fade (as we call it in NZ), and he nailed it. The beard was sharp as well. Super happy with the result, I’ll definitely be back.

Mario has executed the exact haircut I've asked for every time I've been, complimented with thought provoking conversation and many laughs. The atmosphere of the shop is classy but comfortable, with saxophone instrumentals playing in the background (I had to stop myself from bopping my head). Mario has recognised me every time in my few visits, highlighting the small town vibe that is rare to come across at a barber tucked away in the heart of Sydney CBD. I highly recommend Caveman Barbers, whether you're popping in during work, or making the trip out specially, the cut and experience is worth it.

What an awesome experience. Mario greeted me in a most friendly and welcoming manner and immediately offered me coffee. He engaged in conversation throughout the visit and I was happy with my haircut. I have never left a haircut feeling so warmly about the barber and so positive about the whole experience. I highly recommend coming here.

Went here because of the overall positive reviews and star rating. Mario is very friendly and welcoming. Also, a very nice shop. Unfortunately, i have to concur with the minority of reviews on the fade haircut from here. This was over very quickly and it was not a fade haircut. I’m not actually sure what this was but I would expect a proper gradual skin fade for $55. Edit: Photo2 taken the next day - somehow the “fade” looks even more comically bad. Photo3 and photo4: fade correctly done after it was fixed by another hairdresser, which I had to pay for.
