Had my first haircut at Ipoh Barbershop today. Sean did an amazing job. He is super friendly and took away the nervousness of trying a new place. Finally I've found my barber. In a city with tons of barbers, I've found it surprisingly hard to find a barber well versed with my Asian straight hair, for a price point that won't break my bank. Shawn 大哥 is an awesome dude and the service was great. Asked for a French Crop, and Shawn provided input and recommendations to adjust what I wanted, tailored to me, and to fix my imbalanced current hairstyle Super happy with the result. Tucked away in an arcade you might miss it, but it's centrally located and the interior is cool. The expertise is immense and the cut? Turning me into a 靚仔

I came back here after two months since the last time they completely ruined my hair. I decided to give it another chance, but once again the barber did not meet my requests at all.My hair looks ridiculous. The top was thinned out even though I never asked for that—and any decent barber should know not to thin fine hair. Now it looks flat, uneven, and honestly terrible. The fades are awful as well, really badly done. The whole haircut took about 20 minutes, and I paid a ridiculous $50 for it. I would have accepted a result like this if the price had been much lower. The only decent thing was the barber’s attitude, but the quality-to-price ratio is absolutely unacceptable

Stopped in for a quick skin fade, they did a great job. Super polite and great conversation. The lady finished up with some nice smelling spray and some powder. No irritation at all. 10/10 recommend

Got a skin fade from Shawn and it turned out really good! He’s super friendly, takes his time, and knows what he’s doing. The fade looks clean and sharp! Definitely one of the best cuts I’ve had. Highly recommend!
