Being from Adelaide, where life moves at a slightly calmer pace, the buzzing streets of Sydney felt wonderfully alive. After a long day exploring Parramatta, we found ourselves searching for somewhere special to eat—somewhere that promised more than just a meal. That’s when we stumbled upon Ceylonia, nestled among one of the busiest food streets in Parramatta. Situated in one of the busiest food streets of Parramatta, Ceylonia will take you on an unforgettable flavour trail of Sri Lankan cuisine. If you are a spice lover and brave enough to go on a food adventure, Ceylonia is a place you don’t want to miss. It was a relatively hot day (compared to Adelaide) in Sydney, and we all wanted to quench our thirst first. The passionfruit mint cocktail was vibrant and artfully combined with tropical passion fruit, the zest of lemon rings and fresh mint leaves. Hot butter mix seafood was our entrée, which took our experience to another level. The panko crumbed prawns and cuttlefish were fried to perfection. The golden-brown seafood was rather luxurious. Cracker of a spot! Checked out Ceylonia Parramatta with girls and was thoroughly impressed. Great selection on the menu, and the presentation and flavours were spot on. The spice level was just right; full of flavour without being overwhelming. The watalappan was top notch and a real highlight. My 9 year old was unstoppable with hoppers and pork. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the service was warm and welcoming. It was also a nice touch to see the head chef coming out to mingle with the crowd. Highly recommend checking it out for authentic Sri Lankan scene.

Great ambiance, but I am disappointed with the food. Why try to make it western and lose the true Sri Lankan authenticity? A spicy chicken kottu comes with big pieces of chicken and salad? That’s not what Sri Lankan kottu stands for. Great ambience, good service, the food is presented nicely but I would say keep it original Sri Lankan, don’t westernise it.

The best seafood kothu roti in Sydney (and I've tried many)! I first visited Ceylonia a few months ago after seeing the high ratings on their kothu and I’ve been hooked ever since. I actually came back the very next day to bring some home for my parents! ​Today, I ordered four seafood kothus plus the chicken and dolphin kothu for Mother’s Day lunch. The whole family loved it. What sets their kothu apart is the generous variety of seafood, it's moistness and the (slightly) larger pieces of roti. Also would recommend their falooda!! Next time ordering two because it went down so fast!

After enjoying their catering at several events, I finally made it into the restaurant—and it did not disappoint. The interior is stylish and inviting, perfectly complemented by a warm and friendly team of staff. They offer an impressive selection of Sri Lankan classics that are authentic and bursting with flavor. I can honestly say this is the best Sri Lankan food I’ve ever had in Australia. The entrees were standout, the mains were excellent, and the cocktails were the perfect accompaniment to the bold spices. Hats off to the chef! .. 🤩 A absolute must-visit for any food enthusiast. I can't recommend it highly enough!
