Very nice place to stay. They offer what is honestly a pretty good complimentary breakfast, the rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, and the building has a lovely old charm to it. The staff were really nice and accommodating, extending checkout for an additional hour for no additional fee.

Wonderful place and good value. Free street parking - no time limit. Stay here and train into town. Great ambience, beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast and happy helpful staff. Take walk down the road to the lane cove rail to river trail (see AllTrails) and stroll to Victoria st for a huge range of eating options.

We had to quickly find accommodation at Chatswood for a medical appointment. Everything we looked at was around the $455 -500 mark which for country people seemed excessive. We then spotted the Charrington for under $200. Cheap can ring warning bells but we took the punt and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were excellent and got us into our room a bit earlier than normal which was greatly appreciated. Our room was very pleasant with a distinct Victorian aura. Good bathroom, TV and a delightful balcony where we ate our take away. Only noise we heard were the birds in the morning - we left the balcony door open. What's more there was a very well stocked kitchen and undercover outdoor dining for breakfast that was included.
