I bought a hand cream from this store and found that the tube had split and was leaking about two hours later. It had been in my jacket pocket the whole time. I returned to the store with proof of purchase and asked if it could be exchanged. The staff member checked the CCTV and said they believed the product was not damaged when I left the store, so they refused to replace it. As I wasn’t shown the CCTV footage, I can’t tell how clearly it could show whether the small split was already there. The staff member wasn’t rude, but I was disappointed that there was no goodwill solution for a product purchased only a couple of hours earlier. In the end, I had to buy another container to transfer the remaining cream.

On june 4th, I have asthma and went in to get a new ventolin inhaler. The Asian Chinese girl behind the chemist counter asked if I want a generic one. I said yes that’s fine. When she brought it to the counter, she started asking me if I have asthma. I said yes. She then said I needed a prescription from gp. I said no I don’t have one and ventolin is not a prescription drug and I needed it now because I was about to have an asthma attack. She then said this is a life saving medication and you shouldn’t have it. I asked why not and she wouldn’t give it to me. I didn’t have the breath to argue either her. So I left and went to Priceline and got one without any issues. Her petty tyrant behaviour could had cost someone’s life.

I went here to take my blood pressure. The pharmacist (James) asked me to sit and wait. After sitting and waiting for 10 minutes, I politely asked him to take my blood pressure as I’m concerned about it. He was so rude to me and said he cannot leave the counter. I asked him why he couldn’t tell me to go somewhere else instead of asking me to sit and wait forever. He then walked off. This is zero customer service. I hope Chemist Warehouse investigate and improve their customer service

An incompetently managed Chemist Warehouse where security treats loyal customers like criminals. Don’t take the risk of shopping here. When Chemist Warehouse first started, it offered excellent prices and good service. It’s service is now utterly dreadful, and other competitors have emerged that also have excellent prices but with a vastly better customer service attitude. In future that’s where I’ll be going!

Worst chemist warehouse I've ever been too. I had a very distressing experience at the Chemist Warehouse CBD store next to Woolworths in Sydney. After spraying a fragrance once—reasonably assuming the front bottle was a tester—I was aggressively confronted by a security guard who shouted at me in front of other customers. I was with my baby at the time, and the situation caused visible discomfort to those around us. I was then intimidated and effectively forced to purchase the fragrance, despite having no intention to do so. Being pressured into a purchase under duress is completely unacceptable. When I asked to speak with the store manager to resolve the issue, the manager was also rude and dismissive and failed to de-escalate the situation, instead appearing to support the guard’s behaviour. This experience was inappropriate, particularly given I was caring for my baby. Customers should be treated with respect and not subjected to aggressive or coercive conduct, which raises serious concerns around consumer rights and acceptable retail practices. Under Australian Consumer Law, you are not legally obligated to purchase a product simply because you tried it in a store, even if
