Eating out in Australia ranges from beachside takeaways to hatted dining rooms, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. If you have dietary needs, most kitchens will adapt a dish if you ask. Licensed venues serve alcohol; BYO places let you bring a bottle for a small corkage fee. Tipping is appreciated but never expected.

Sydney is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Traffic in Sydney peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the unit or street number up to the suburb, state and four-digit postcode; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place is perfectly beautiful and even the restroom was gorgeous! Everything we ordered was amazing. The steak doneness was perfect, and the sauce, lobster pasta, and creamed spinach were all super delicious. It was a meaningful dinner to celebrate our birthdays before my friend heads back to her country, and our server β€˜Role’ made it so much more special. She is hands down the best server ever! She was so thoughtful and attentive, helping us make lifelong memories. Thank you, β€˜Role’ for making this my best day in Australia. πŸ’•πŸ’• I’m definitely coming back here again!

We had a really nice and relaxing dinner here at Clam Bar, the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night out or just an easy dinner. After a bad experience in one of the company venues, we wanted to revisit, and I’m happy to say that we really enjoyed our time here. As starters, we ordered the crudo: red prawns, which were absolutely deliciousβ€”super fresh and creamy; the tuna tartare with the beef-fat potatoes and the foie gras were also great to begin with. We then moved on to the mains and decided to go for the famous cheeseburger, which was outstanding!, the vodka pasta, and a salad on the side, which unfortunately lacked a bit of flavour. To finish off the night, we ordered the chocolate royal, which was the perfect ending. The service was very professional; our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about all the dishes and really made our night (sorry I can’t remember her name!). A big thank you as well to Sam, the sommelier. Overall, after our previous experience, we’re really glad we came back and had such an enjoyable evening.

10/10 dining experience. Great service from Marcus and a big shout out to the chefs for the menu design. The food was impeccable. If you’re visiting, you must check out the eye fillet, raw beef and that chocolate dessert was probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Also never knew a burger could be done so well. Can’t miss out on that. Just a big wow. Thanks for a great evening. Already planning my next trip there. Hands down one of the best restaurants in Sydney. Loved it!

Went there for a work dinner with some close business partners of ours and was absolutely blown away on a number of levels. First and foremost was the level of service. Everyone was lovely, accommodating and knowledgeable of everything the restaurant had to offer. The sommelier really provided great wines for us to drink with the food. Myself who is not really a wine drinker took a walk on the wild side so to speak which i theoughly enjoyed in spite of my scotch and beer likes. Secondly, the food... the food was just amazing from the sashimi, the octopus and other starters all the way through to the steak, cheeseburger and the sides which were wide ranging in both taste and experiences. Duck fat potatoes and creamy spinach were amazing with the steak. Thirdly, the ambience and over interior design of the restaurant was exceptional. When you combine all of these items together you know you have a classy establishment. When my salary range ever allows I will certainly come back! Highly recommended
