Had a recent encounter with Elizabeth from Deli today. Such a rude customer service. She provides service as per the colour of your skin or your background. The person just before me got a really good customer service while I was treated completely different.

Great shopping experience! The aisles are well-stocked, and the fresh seafood and meat counters have excellent weekly specials. I found everything on my list with no trouble.😊

I visit this Coles regularly while recovering from a multi-organ transplant. Most of the time, the store is clean and has felt like a safe place for someone who is immunocompromised. However, during my most recent visit, I had a very concerning experience. I witnessed an online shopper in a Coles uniform repeatedly coughing while selecting meat, without making any effort to cover their mouth. This wasn’t a one-off incident—it was continuous coughing across multiple products while they were working in that section. They were leaning very close to the items (around 20cm away) and openly coughing over them while reading labels. This was extremely unsettling to see, particularly given the obvious hygiene risks. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. I also found that the perishable items I went to purchase—specifically the A2 milk and Gippsland yoghurt—did not appear to be properly rotated. Additionally, the prepacked potatoes were all very close to expiry, with several bags already expired on the day. Coles Parramatta, located in the Entrata building, is easy to find and access. There is always parking available whenever I visit. The store itself offers the typical Coles experience, with a clean and well-organized layout. The fresh food section, including seafood displayed on ice, is well presented. The store also has a delicatessen with a variety of meats, catering to all tastes. The bakery bakes its own brand of bread daily and offers a selection of pastries and donuts. Although this Coles is not the largest I've visited, it's a medium-sized supermarket that provides everything you'd expect from a grocery store. I wanted to showcase more of the store’s fresh food and presentation, but I was approached by the manager and asked not to take any more photos. Despite this, the store was clean, tidy, and maintained to a high standard—a credit to the staff who clearly take pride in their work. However, the manager's reaction suggested a different perspective, possibly reflecting challenges behind the scenes. From a customer’s point of view, though, the store's presentation and service are commendable.

This store gets worse and worse. They removed the registers at the front which ALWAYS has customers going through (whenever they chose to open them) now there's one express register and never anyone serving on it. 5 years ago: I usually love Coles stores. This place has a dirty roof and right above the fresh food section and the staff don't seem to have a good knowledge of the products in store. Staff member wouldn't return a product to my child after getting a price check because he thought she was going to steal the product. It's a pain to have to chase someone around just to get a bag at self service. Why don't they have bags more easily available? You clearly don't trust your customers at all.
