Appalling service from Commonwealth Bank Bondi Junction. As a business owner and Commonwealth Bank client of more than 30 years, I am genuinely shocked by the standard of service I have received. I attended the branch in person, completed the required paper forms for a new business account and trust account, and explained that the accounts were urgent. These are not optional accounts. They are required for business operations, audited daily, and connected to staff payments and trust account obligations. After submitting everything, I waited. And waited. More than a week passed with no authorisation, no update, no explanation and no direct email contact for the branch. I made repeated phone calls and was repeatedly told messages would be passed on. No one from the branch bothered to respond. After 12 days, there was still no action and no accountability. The silence was extraordinary. The only person who showed any competence or urgency was Samantha from CommBiz, who finally helped after multiple calls. She was excellent. Unfortunately, she appears to be the exception. What kind of bank doesn't have tellers? Went in to withdraw money and they said tellers don't work on the weekend. When asked why not come during the week, she was shocked to learn I had a job. The solution of cross trained staff didn't seem to cross anyone's mind. Dumb service from what is otherwise a good bank.
