About Da Michele Sydney

The world's most legendary pizza from Napoli.

Located at 50 Pitt St, Sydney NSW 2000, Da Michele Sydney operates as a restaurant serving Sydney in New South Wales. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Eating out in Australia ranges from beachside takeaways to hatted dining rooms, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. If you have dietary needs, most kitchens will adapt a dish if you ask. Licensed venues serve alcohol; BYO places let you bring a bottle for a small corkage fee. Tipping is appreciated but never expected.

Opening hours are published for 1 day a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–2:30 pm. Hours in Australia do change around public holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Da Michele Sydney on (02) 9337 0144; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is damichele.com.au, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 547 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Sydney is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Traffic in Sydney peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the unit or street number up to the suburb, state and four-digit postcode; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

It was my first time here and it won’t be my last. I am definitely coming back again with more people to try more things on the menu. The pizza portion was massive. One pizza slice was equivalent to two pieces. You also have to request for the pizzas to be cut which I thought was so interesting! Apparently in the UK, particularly at Italian-style pizzerias, it’s fairly common for a pizza to arrive whole and uncut! I love the decors with pictures, it gives a nice touch and warmth to the restaurant!

I’ve been here over 5 times, and it’s always a fantastic experience. It’s such a relief that I can just book a table here instead of waiting in the long queues like in Naples. The quality is exactly what you’d expect from Da Michele, and the menu has some great options that make it worth trying new things. Highly recommend the Margherita it's unbeatable. Great food, great service, and a great vibe every single time.

I’ve been to Pizzeria Da Michele in Napoli 4 times.. I consider it the best in Naples. That’s why I always go there. I was floored seeing one here in Sydney.. 😳 there was no way I wasn’t going to give it a go.. And,, it was the exact same Margherita pizza. Same perfect San Marzano Tomatoes. Same cheese. Crust was slightly burnt. Only difference is they cut some slices for you but that’s no different. Paulo and the crew in here deliver a delicacy from Napoli well.. the pictures speak the same. Go here now before there’s a line out the door 🀩

My Italian colleague recommended this restaurant. The pizza is incredible (Porcini e Tartufo). It is rich in flavors but left your stomach pretty light (so you can enjoy more things). The tiramisu just melt in your mouth. The most amazing dish is the Ciurilli Ripieni. I've never tasted the zucchini flowers before and the dish made me want to eat more of those. Also, the staff are incredibly friendly. Already looking forward for the next time to eat here!!

I went there after hearing a lot of good things about the place. I went to Naples and tried the best pizzas and those were definitely of similar level. Pizza are absolutely huge and very tasty. They are also very reasonably priced compared to most pizza places in Sydney. We decided to order 2 pizza so we could try different flavour but one pizza is more than enough for two if you are goint to have an entree or a dessert. The 4 cheese and the margharita both were fabulous. We asked for some chili which appeared to be homemade and was also delicious. Finished our meal with a delicious espresso and a little (not so little) rum baba which was also really good. A big YES for us we will definitely be back if we can. We are both pizza lover and make our own woodfirefld pizza at home but this was an absolute treat. We must say it was a bit noisy and we were expecting a more rustic/authentic Naples vibes if we want to be picky but thats all the negatives i can find. Thank you for a great night!
