I unfortunately had a negative experience with Dr Agar. I often experienced high wait times (30 mins - 1 hour) for appointments booked at a specific time. At appointments, I often felt rushed and like I'd leave without all my questions answered or all the information I needed. She seemed more interested in moving me out instead of making sure we'd covered all everything. It often felt like we were 'going through the motions' of a standard playbook instead of tailoring a plan specifically to me and my situation. I found that it would take 2-3 appointments to get information that could have been given in 1 appointment. I felt like several appointments were unnecessary and a waste of time and money. For these reasons, I would not recommend Dr Agar.

I should have listened to the one star reviews and gone somewhere else - the least thorough, yet the most expensive skin exam I have ever had. Definitely will not be back. And as a follow up, I then visited another dermatologist on an unrelated issue. During the visit this new person (different clinic) was surprised that I only just had a skin check as so many sun spots were missed. And then just just to add insult to injury, when I complained, it took a week to get a response and I was told that Dr Agar followed the correct process - didn't even talk to me about my history as a new pacient with an underlying condition which makes me high risk and did't read the form I filled out as she didn't know the medication I was on. What an absolute Joke and rip off. Avoid at all cost

Thank you Dr Agar for your professionalism and expertise. I was referred for one suspicious mole but Dr Agar performed a detailed and thorough whole body skin check. She clearly outlined my options and even though I'm very anxious about medical procedures, when I went in for the procedure she was very reassuring and the whole thing was over before I knew it.

I feel I need to share this review if only to correct some negative reviews below. Dr Agar is efficient, accurate, direct and pragmatic. She doesn’t mess around or tip toe around a situation. Some might say she lacks bedside manner. But I don’t go to see her to hold my hand. I go to see her to review, assess and fix my Dermatology problems. And she did just that for me! And gave me plenty of time back to get on with my day!

I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from the top of my nose over 20 years ago and since then have been seeing Dr Nita Agar for my annual skin cancer check. I have always found Dr Agar to be prompt and extremely professional. She is never rushed, is always willing to listen and is unfailingly caring and thorough. She always carefully examines every inch of my skin, even including between my toes, at each of our visits. I can very confidently recommend Dr Agar to anyone seeking help with their skin.
