We had 3 stays (triple room) over the 2022 Christmas season, Drummond House Manly, $170 p/n; Villa Mirasol Motor Inn Bundaberg $190 p/n, and Novotel Sydney International Airport, $303 p/n. Value for money, facilities etc. the Novotel was not a patch on the other two. Especially as it is supposed to be an international level hotel. Drummond House is accommodation that is an NGO that assists disadvantaged kids and is not a hotel as such – has backpacker facilities, but with private rooms with private bathroom. I’d definitely stay there again when in Sydney for two reasons. It provided everything we needed and it helps kids. Villa Mirasol couldn’t have been better. I highly recommend it. The Novotel was clean, new and close to the airport, but lacked the little things I’d expect for the cost. Will look elsewhere next time I need somewhere close to Sydney airport.

I stayed here for two nights with my family. A great location with friendly staff and clean rooms. Our room was very spacious and shiny. It was more than my expectations

I stayed here for about 5 weeks in 2020 when Covid restrictions locked me out of my home state of Qld alongside some other complications. Drummond House was so beautiful it took my breath away. With high ceilings and gorgeous carpeted floorboards that creaked atmospherically, beautifully appointed, ensuited rooms with sash windows to throw open to the sea breezes, everything about Drummond house was exquisite. All comforts such as a lift, communal lounge areas and laundry were available. When you stepped outside, Manly beach was only paces away, not to mention a Coles directly across the road. A short stroll to Manly ferry meant arriving in the Sydney CBD only 38 minutes later, relaxed and invigorated by sea air and the stunning sea scape. The staff were friendly, dedicated and acted as if it was their privilege to have you as a guest (rare these days) when I felt it was such a privilege to be there! Now back in Qld, I can recommend Drummond House as safe and beautiful accommodation and hope all of the staff I met are going well.
