Our family was celebrating my birthday and we had an excellent experience. The location offered unique, spectacular views of Sydney Harbour during both day and night, the historical significance of the site was absorbing and intriguing and the service was excellent. An added bonus was the huge Australian bushland park in which the site is located. We enjoyed an extensive walk through the park, utilising the various tracks and roads and were captivated by the views from North Head onto South Head, the city and Manly. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at the Boiler House (excellent food & beverages for all tastes), the buffet breakfast was enjoyable. Another bonus is the β€˜at call’ shuttle which moves visitors around what is a large site, plus has a schedule to take you to/from the centre of Manly. We really enjoyed our stay and felt it represented value.

What a fascinating place. Staying in the Isolation Precinct felt like walking into a documentary. We arrived just on dusk, which made the atmosphere even more striking. Great views, strong sense of history, and plenty of character throughout the site. It’s not a luxury resort, and it doesn’t try to beβ€”that’s part of the appeal. Signage could be clearer in places, and there is a fair amount of walking involved, but the setting and historical significance more than make up for it. A great base to explore North Head and Manly. Thoroughly recommend taking as many tours as possible; they really bring the history of Q Station to life. The food at Boiler house was a great addition

One night was not enough… Attended a wedding over the weekend and stayed one night. The venue was breathtaking the service and shuttle bus fantastic. We found the walk to the cafe and restaurant easy especially going down hill. Our room was beautiful and simple… the beds and pillows very comfortable.. We would love to come back and explore more of what the Q Station has to offer. And so close to Manly ❀️

Loved the place, Total historic immersion in its history. Loved that it hasn't been tarted up or disneyfied. Spent the entire three days on site or in the national park. Staff were super helpful. Some rooms have better locations than the one we stayed in. Was told that it is possible to request the rooms with the superior views. The rooms could do with just a few extra touches, they are a bit basic, simple things, a floor lamp, cushions, a chest of drawers, All could be 2nd hand 'brown' items .

Just ok. rooms were clean and large. But general maintenance across the site looked lacking, with attention to detail missing. The bar did not open till 530, and although staff were friendly and served us still, there was little else to do aside the cafe when raining. I do not feel it represented good value considering the room cost. For me next time, a central stay in Sydney, with taxi on to venue would have been a better option.
