Building approval came through on the 26th, and by 6th July our project was already released to construction, less than two weeks start to finish. I later found out the normal wait time in NSW is anywhere from 2 to 6 months, so this was way beyond what I expected. The team kept us in the loop the whole way and made what could’ve been a stressful process actually pretty exciting. Very disappointing experience — Eternal Homes showed no accountability after subcontracting our build Our experience with Eternal Homes has been extremely disappointing. All early communication, invoices, and updates came directly from Eternal Homes, so we reasonably assumed they were the builder on our project. Only at contract signing did we discover the actual construction was being done by QCoast, a Queensland builder Eternal Homes had fully subcontracted to. From that point on, Eternal Homes largely stepped back, offering no real oversight, accountability, or responsibility for the quality of the build. Construction began last November and progressed quickly until about 85% of payments were made. After that, progress slowed drastically. It took another six months to reach handover, and the home was delivered with around 65 defects — and counting. These were serious issues, not minor touch-ups: – Leaking showers – Leaking kitchen sinks – Blocked drains – Cabinet doors scraping the floor, misaligned, and leaving gaps – Items marked “completed” that were not actually fixed Many issues remain unresolved even after handover.
