Australian cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon, while restaurants and pubs run lunch and dinner services with a quiet spell in between, so an off-peak visit is worth a quick call. Card and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere; some venues add a surcharge on weekends and public holidays.

Sydney is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Australian addresses list the street number, suburb, state abbreviation and postcode, and Sydney follows the same pattern; a number like 2/411 means unit 2 at number 411. The food is exceptional and delicious. Great selection +++ and very reasonable prices for Sydney. The wine list is decent and gets the job done. Excellent service. Highly recommended. A must-visit.

My experience here was extremely frustrating from the moment I walked in. I asked for a table for one and was left waiting for 15 minutes sitting by the door, only to watch another solo customer come in after me and get seated before I did. That alone was irritating, but what made it worse was the complete lack of communication between the host and waitstaff. I was later told one of the waitresses assumed I was waiting for a to-go order instead of simply asking me, which is incredibly frustrating and avoidable. Even after the confusion, I was still seated right next to the door instead of being properly placed inside the restaurant, which only added to the feeling of being brushed off and poorly handled. What made the situation stand out even more was how little accountability there seemed to be. The host and one waitress both apologized, and I was given a discount on my egg rolls, but no manager or anyone in a higher position came over to address the issue. I was even told the owner was present, and it was obvious he was aware of what happened, yet he never came over to acknowledge it or say anything. That part was honestly the most disappointing. To be fair, the food itself was

Located on Clarence Street close to QVB. Excellent location with great food options. Visited for dinner for a special occasion and it was very satisfying. The food portions were great and they tasted well. The Tamarind chicken was excellent and highly recommended. Very friendly staff and they were kind enough to accommodate special requests.

Fortune Village Chinese Restaurant truly exceeded all expectations! The service was absolutely amazing β€” the staff patiently explained the menu, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured that all the dishes came out together so we could enjoy everything at its best. The food was incredibly tasty, with generous, filling portions that left everyone more than satisfied. They went above and beyond by turning one of our group photos into a fridge magnet, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. A special shout-out to Simon and the entire team for making my birthday night so memorable. You could genuinely feel the care and passion behind everything they did β€” it all came straight from the heart. I would definitely recommend Fortune Village to anyone looking for delicious Chinese food paired with outstanding service. An unforgettable experience from start to finish! 🌟πŸ₯’πŸŽ‰

5 stars! A hidden gem near Town Hall β€” authentic Cantonese food, warm service, and a lovely atmosphere. Came here for a family birthday. The staff helped us with candles, cake, and even took a photo, which they later turned into a fridge magnet as a gift. So thoughtful! No fancy plating, just delicious, honest food that feels like home. Quiet spot, perfect for family dinners. Highly recommended!
