I had to call out for assistance because I was standing around looking confused in the TV section, while 3-4 male sales assistants were nearby, completely ignoring me. As an aside, I did not see a single female working in the store, only lots of men. The male sales assistant who took my enquiry refused to price match the same product that was available at Good Guys for $5 less - despite Harvey Norman having a price match policy. I showed the sales assistant the advertisement (which was a Good Guys “price beat” price off their website) and the guy claimed it wasn’t an “advertisement”, therefore he couldn't do the price match. He lost an easy, quick $236 sale, over a $5 discount. I went to Harvey Norman Moore Park half an hour later and had it price matched by the online team with no issue. I literally only took about 2 minutes of the guy's time, he hardly had to sell the TV to me as I basically knew I wanted it when I walked in. It would have been the easiest sale in the world, $236 to add to his sales record for the day - but no. He said "It might be an advertisement to you, but that doesn't mean it's an advertisement to us". The guy was unhelpful too, and couldn’t point out a

I went in to the store to buy a MacBook. The guy in the store persuaded me to not buy a MacBook and spend more money on an HP laptop, saying it was an amazing deal and so much better than the MacBook. I have had nothing but issues with the laptop. He also pushed me towards paying for two years insurance, indicating to me that if anything breaks they just replace it. I have now taken my laptop in for repair and have to leave it for up the 3 weeks. Honest I wish I had not listened to the sales guy and just gone with my original choice. Now wasted over $2k on a laptop I didn't originally want and I don't even have it as it has to get repaired after 3 months. I wish people that give advice at these stores on large purchases actually knew what they are talking about before wasting your money.

I bought a TCL tablet online but not satified, it so lag. So I ask customer service online for help. Then they guided me to store and ask staff for assisting. Honestly I so worry because negative feedback about Harvey Norman on social media. Conversely, I got extremely best experience here. From technican to staff helped me a alot to exchange my tablet. Especially Shisant was so supportive and gave me good deals that I guarantee you can't get when buying online. I felt inclusive and no feeling of being discriminated as I am an Asian with tiny English. Highly recommend HN Bondi. Maybe you have another experience but come and feel it, not depend on online review at all.

Accused my wife of shoplifting while she was still inside the store. Harvey Norman, Westfield Bondi Junction, 4 November 2025, about 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm. My wife was shopping for my birthday with a Harvey Norman gift card. She had her phone in one hand and a tote from another retailer in the other. The person who said he was the franchise owner, Aaron, approached. She asked for help finding a power adapter. He took hold of her tote, put it on the floor, opened it so the store items she intended to buy slid to the sides, accused her of shoplifting, and demanded she pay immediately or leave. He then walked those items through the exit sensors, the alarm sounded, and he called over staff who stood around her. This happened in full view of customers and staff. She did not feel free to leave. She never left the store with any unpaid goods. There were no baskets or trolleys. I phoned the store later that day and went in on 5 November, about 2:00 pm to 3:15 pm, to ask for a simple apology and suggest that staff hold items at a counter when a shopper’s hands are full.
