I have worn eyeglasses my entire life, and anyone who wears glasses knows that even a slight alignment issue can cause headaches and discomfort. On my second day in Australia while visiting Manly Beach, I walked into Ian Donald Optometrist and asked if they could adjust my glasses. They were incredibly prompt and welcoming. The lady who helped me did an exceptional job adjusting my glasses. As a lifelong glasses wearer, I can immediately tell the difference between a quick adjustment and a quality one, and this was absolutely the latter. What impressed me even more was their kindness. When I offered to pay, she simply smiled and waved it off, saying it was okay. Such a small act of kindness made a lasting impression on me. Highly recommend this optometrist. Professional, skilled, and genuinely caring people.

Highly recommend! The receptionists were very friendly, making the booking process seamless. Before my appointment, a staff member conducted different eye tests on me, and Dr. David Olver took it from there. He ran a few additional tests, went through all the results with me, explained the diagnosis and its cause, and patiently answered all my questions. I was really impressed with the level of service and care I received.

I arrived a bit earlier, so I waited in the waiting area. When it was my turn to see Ian, he personally approached me and carried my bag to help me with my stuff. This first act of humility created a very positive impression about the place and the team. This impression was further reinforced through the team's professionalism and clear knowledge of what they are doing. They were incredibly friendly and warm. Ian himself was outstanding, demonstrating extensive knowledge, professionalism, excellent communication, and genuine humility. This was my first experience with an optometrist in Sydney, and I’ll definitely be returning for my future eye care needs. I highly recommend Ian Donald Optometrist to anyone looking for top-notch eye care.
