Picked up a dress I'd been eyeing and I'm happy with it. The store was clean and had a nice range, but it took a while before anyone came over to help. Once I was served the staff were friendly enough. Overall a decent experience, just could have been a bit more attentive.

I’ve always been a fan of Kookai and make a point to shop there whenever I’m in Australia, as I live overseas, often purchasing multiple items each visit. Unfortunately, my most recent experience with the Sydney Central store has been very disappointing. One of the items I purchased still had the magnetic security tag attached when I left the store, which I only realised when I returned to my home country. I’ve since spent considerable time trying to resolve this at other retailers (there is no Kookai where I live), without success. I contacted Kookai on 24 June and it has now been 9 business days with no response, even after I sent a reminder. I would not have taken this to a public review if their customer service team had provided any meaningful update or support. Considering the price point of their products, the lack of care at checkout and the absence of follow-up from customer service is really disappointing.

I attended this store today at about 2.50 pm and unfortunately had a negative experience. I asked the store worker who was working change rooms if there was a different size available in a top. She was rude, and blunt and told me whatever was on the floor was all that was available. Instead of assisting me by pointing in the direction of the top, or having another staff member help instead, I had to find it myself. I chose to try on a few items, and the same staff member continued her rude and dismissive approach. She told me and my partner “one person per change room”, which I found odd considering I have never had a staff member at any other Kookai limit us going in the change room together to choose what I’d like like to buy! This staff member was completely unapproachable, which is shocking considering she is working in a customer service role. No help with sizing or any assistance from her whatsoever. Her demeanour made me feel like I was causing inconvenience by being there. I decided not to ask for help, and ended up purchasing nothing when I planned to purchase a few things initially. Had such a lovely experience at Kookai thanks to Hannah! She was incredibly attentive and genuinely took the time to understand my style. She gave me so many helpful styling tips and put together outfit recommendations that I can actually see myself wearing day-to-day. It made building my everyday wardrobe feel so much easier (and more fun). Thank you Hannah 💕

My mum and I went for a quick shopping trip at this store and we cannot stop talking about the customer service. Especially Emily from Sydney central store- She put together beautiful outfits, found all my sizing and was very cheerful. Would recommend visiting this store- not if you want to break your bank account though 😅
