For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, is it busy at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. Australian cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon, while restaurants and pubs run lunch and dinner services with a quiet spell in between, so an off-peak visit is worth a quick call. Card and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere; some venues add a surcharge on weekends and public holidays.

Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 7 am–9:30 pm. Hours in Australia do change around public holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Mordeo Sydney on (02) 9232 1306; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is mordeo.com.au, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Sydney is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Australian addresses list the street number, suburb, state abbreviation and postcode, and Sydney follows the same pattern; a number like 2/411 means unit 2 at number 411. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Quality food and excellent service! Without a doubt, the best pizza in Sydney. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and made with care. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for outstanding pizza and great service.

I visited Mordeo together with the reviewer below, and I read the owner’s response. However, I don’t think the explanation accurately reflects what happened. To clarify, we first ordered three glasses of Mordeo’s White Wolf Lager, which was advertised as an $11 Happy Hour beer. After that, we ordered two pints of Sapporo and one schooner of Sapporo. From our understanding, the discount that was applied was not a goodwill discount on the Sapporo beers. Rather, it seemed to be a correction because the three White Wolf Lagers we ordered at $11 each were charged as $15 beers on the bill. If $4 was taken off for each of the three beers, the correction should have been $12 in total. However, the receipt shows a percentage discount of $11.70 instead, meaning we still paid an extra 30 cents. What we were trying to explain was that this extra 30 cents also affected the card surcharge, which is why the surcharge did not make sense to us. We also believe there should have been an option in the POS system to void or correct the incorrect items and re-enter them properly, rather than applying a percentage discount. If we had not checked the bill carefully, we would have been overcharged eve

We were a group of nine. Thoughtfully seated by owner Nick in an enclosed area where the noise level was tolerable. We enjoyed a pre arranged set menu with various selections. The service was impeccable and friendly. We waited for nothing. the food was delicious and good value. There is outside undercover seating if the weather permits. There is a full bar a coffee station to go, and food station for take out pizza and pastries if you need take out. This cleverly planned restaurant caters for all needs, a versatile and thoughtful venue. We will return.

Great service and nice food. The pizzas were nice although not really authentic thin Italian style crust. The flavour was nice but the pizzas were on the soggy side. We had pizzas and the Mordeo Spread shared banquet, the banquet was nice. We were a group of 15 and were accommodated over two tables, we had a nice time.

The beginning of my dinner was amazing, the food was so good especially the soft and chewy bread! Just towards the end of my meal we asked to take away some of the food for someone else and deliberately left an amount of a one persons share. Asked the kind waitress and she packed away for us then when she came back I didn’t expect the kind gesture of the garlic bread and pizza being separated into two boxes. Busy with myself talking to her another waiter came and asked if we were done with the spaghetti, did not realise that would be the last I would see of it. Probably my mistake of not being able to hear him so well as it was now peak hour, he took the spaghetti and I’d have thought it would’ve also been packed away. Whilst waiting for the spaghetti takeaway box to come it never came and the waiter said β€œI asked if you guys were done”. Surely staff are able to double check if it’s for chucking or taking away? I was also busy talking to the other waitress so it was chaotic to understand two people talking to me at the same time but now half the pasta is just sitting in the bin. Lovely, after that my party and I were thinking about dessert when the bill suddenly came onto the table
