Wanted to find a good Italian restaurant close to our hotel to have dinner. It was a Friday night and we didn't have a reservation. Next Door is tucked away but worth the seeking out. The food was delicious - we had gnocchi and lasagne between us, and both were excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was great. It was busy, which is always a good sign, and we'd definitely visit again. Recommended!

I booked this restaurant based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately I left feeling very disappointed. The pasta was below average and lacked flavour. The dishes we tried were quite bland, and the ragu in particular was disappointing — it contained very little meat and we had to send it back. The pizza was decent, and out of our group of eight, the only people who were reasonably satisfied were those who ordered pizza. Overall, I felt the restaurant was very overpriced for the quality of food provided. I honestly would have been happier going to my local pub, which serves far better pasta at a much better value. The atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant were enjoyable, but unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations. We won’t be returning.

A Hidden Gem – Perfect Vibe, Food, and Value! Recently visited Next Door CBD and had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff made us feel welcome, and the overall vibe of the venue was warm, lively, and inviting – perfect for a relaxed dinner out with friends. We started with the Calamari Fritti – crispy, tender, and perfectly paired with the garlic aioli and Napoli sauce. Absolute perfection! For mains, the mushroom pizza (medium) was loaded with fresh toppings. And the Pesto Fettuccine? Creamy, nutty, and packed with basil and garlic flavor – it was divine! The happy hour prices on medium pizzas, pastas, and house wine were such a bonus – incredible quality at a steal. Can’t recommend Next Door CBD enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here based on the reviews, was not disappointed. We tried the Garlic Bread, Calamari, Beef Ragu, Carbonara, and Meatlovers Pizza and honestly all of them were delicious, with the pizza being the biggest stand-up. I highly recommend and will definitely be back whenever I visit Sydney

Delicious and reasonably priced for the portions and taste!! The tables are very close to each other especially the tables for 2. The service was good and quick! Small tables to fit an entree and two main meals at the same time.
