Very authentic New York style pizza. Ordered the pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and extra pepperoni. Went back here at least 3 times during my stay in Sydney. The only downside is that sometimes homeless people just go in and bother the customers. Would still go back here soon!

Pizza is decent, the classic arcade style with authentic toppings. Honestly, both their pizza and marinara are probably the best I've found in Australia, but coming from the US, that's a pretty low bar. Garlic knots are good when they add enough garlic, but marinara is just ok. Tbh, their marinara might also be the best I know of in Australia, but I can’t find any as good as in the US. The pepperoni wheels are kinda dry. I tried the first location in Melbourne before they ever opened in Sydney, and that spot is slightly better and more consistent. Reason for the low service score is that my wife and I asked if everything we had ordered would be cheaper in a combo, and the guy tried to charge us more, pressuring us to pay then while I was asking about a combo with our same items. I pointed at the combo, he said no at first then acted shocked and rung it up for us to save like 30%. Kinda unhelpful and shady imo, but maybe just an off day. They’ve been nice in all my other visits here and to the Parramatta and Melbourne locations.

Wish I could give more smrating for the service. The staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. The classic cheese slice and pepperoni slice were amazing and delicious. 5 Boroughs slice was good enough but not as good. Fire island slice has hot honey in it, so order it only if you like that flavour. Garlic knots were not that great, so you can skip ordering it. Ambiance is simple. There are few tables with high stool seatings. They don't serve beer anymore which was a bit disappointing. Overall a fun experience!!! Will be back soon.

Absolutely loved the pizzas! They were so good. We also grabbed a few pitchers of beer that were on special. Such a great time and the staff were super friendly.

Visited Sal’s during a trip to the city—the “New York” sign definitely caught my eye. We ordered the Queens Meal (18in Pizza, half pepperoni, half cheese), which came out piping hot with a drink and garlic knots (a fun twist on garlic bread). We also grabbed a beer on the side. The food is decent overall. There’s seating both inside and outside, and parking is street‑only. Since it’s a busy area, public transport is the better option. The shop is directly opposite Wynyard Bus Stop Stand G and only a short walk from Wynyard Station’s York Street entrance. If you’re nearby and craving a quick bite, it’s worth stopping in.
