The atmosphere was amazing, the drinks were fantastic, and above all, the staff’s hospitality was incredible!!! What a hidden gem! We were so lucky to find this place. We’ll definitely be back. If you’re in Sydney, you absolutely have to come here!

Old Love has set a benchmark for what true hospitality should feel like. From the moment you walk in, the service is genuine, the cocktails are crafted to perfection, and the attention to detail is exceptional. Having visited pubs and bars in cities across the world, I can honestly say this ranks among the very best. Sydney, you’ve got something special here. I’ll definitely be back. 🍸👏

I only went in for drinks, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The service was average, but what concerned me most was the lack of transparency. A 4% service charge was already added to the bill, and when I asked for an itemised receipt, there seemed to be some hesitation in providing it. I understand that operating costs and the cost of living are high, and businesses need to cover their expenses. However, when working in customer service, transparency and clear communication about charges are important. Customers should feel comfortable asking for a bill and understanding exactly what they are being charged for. Overall, the experience was average, but greater openness and transparency would have made a significant difference.

Don’t be fooled by the lack of signage! Head into the building, down the stairs and turn right, entering the secure door. This is a seated place. I was first thinking it was just a standing bar so I wondered straight in after 9pm at night but was immediately greeted by staff who explained although they were full, he’d happily find us a temporary spot to have a drink until an actual seat became available. We’d inadvertently missed dinner so was pleased they were still serving food. Absolutely loved this place - made so amazing by staff who visibly and notably were great at their job, seemed to actually enjoy what they did and made us feel like it was dinner and a show watching the bar work take place. If you have a sweet tooth you can’t go past a drink with freshly squeezed cane sugar. And if your lucky, you might get to make it and bang the gong 💥 I highly recommend the Old J spiced rum with vanilla and lime, as your rum choice in the Rum n Cane, suggested to me by our waitress 🤤

Very very cool tiki bar, great rum, knowledgeable staff. Gave us an explanation of all the rums from round the world. Can't wait to try the rum and sugar cane next time. Looked so good. I mean there's a Jamaican independence day rum for $2100 a shot.... Just saying. Thank you we will be back 🙏
