Dr Kerrie Meades is an outstanding eye surgeon who has treated our family over many years at the Parramatta and CBD clinics. She is caring, dedicated and highly professional. She imparts a depth of knowledge, confidence, understanding and experience to her patients especially in laser surgery in which she is a pioneer. The support team she leads are excellent. In her CBD Clinic they calmed my daughter’s crying baby while my daughter had a cyst surgically removed. We highly recommend her!

Very disappointing experience. I was told the appointment would take about 1 hour, but it ended up taking nearly 3 hours. They performed eye scans without telling me there would be an extra charge, so I was shocked when I received a $170 bill at reception. The eye drops were also much worse than expected. I was told the effects would wear off within a few hours, but my vision was still affected until the next day. My biggest concern was the consultation itself. Dr Balaj seemed uninterested in listening to my symptoms or medical history. Despite all the scans being normal, I was referred for an MRI costing around $650 and asked to come back for another paid appointment. In total, I paid $250 for a very short consultation plus an unexpected $170 for scans. Patients should be informed about costs before tests are performed and should feel heard during their appointment.

I completed my ICL surgery with Dr Bala and the team at PersonalEyes Parramatta. 1 month post op and everything is going exceptionally well, the team were extremely thorough throughout the process which resulted in me having better vision than I had with contact lenses and glasses 2 days after the op my heals were already adjusting with slight sensitivity to the light. I was able to go back to work 3 days after and able to both drive and ride my motorbike with no problems at all. The team were helpful every step of the way and were very informative, 1 month post op and there are no issues for me going back to the gym with no restrictions, swimming, spearfishing and many other activities. I would definitely recommend it and wish I did it sooner, i don’t have any dry eye and my clarity is super crisp (better than before). There is a slight sensitivity at night but that has improved week in week out and getting better, it doesn’t impact driving or riding at night. Thank you to Dr Bala and the team, this has truly changed my life, i wake up in the morning and I can see perfectly fine without squinting looking for my glasses or contact lenses and can get up and go about my day!

Eight months ago I came in with my right eye -4.75 and my left eye -4. I couldn't see my hand when fully extended that's how bad it was for me. I got the SMILE procedure as I had existing dry eye and this procedure was considered to be the best for me as it was the procedure that is the least invasive and better suited for someone with dry eyes. The surgery itself was painless and was over in like 20mins. Recovery was very quick, I got the surgery in the morning and by night time I could already see a lot better. Eight months later I can still see very clearly and feel great. Just wanted to thank Dr Bala for everything he has done for me, you sir are a magician and have changed my life for the better. My quality of life, my confidence as well as my mental health has improved heaps because of this and I can't thank you enough. All the best to the team at Personal Eyes.

Did my ICL surgery with Dr Bela 4 years ago. I’m glad with the outcome. Today went back to double check the retinal condition, the optometrist Mei did an excellent job as well. Thank you guys.
