We recently stayed at the Sofitel Wentworth and had a pleasant experience overall. We were impressed with the self check-in process, which was quick, easy and a great start to our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, and we dined at Delta Rue on both nights of our stay. The black pepper steak and the drunken chicken noodles were both outstanding. Our waiter, Chris, was incredibly friendly, attentive and provided the best service. He really made our dining experience memorable. The main downside was the lifts, which were extremely slow and often involved a long wait. Breakfast service could also be improved. I ordered a coffee at the breakfast buffet, but after waiting quite a while it never arrived. I had to ask about it and reorder before finally receiving it. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay with excellent food, exceptional service at Delta Rue, and a smooth self check-in experience. With improvements to the lift efficiency and breakfast service, it would be an even better experience.

Really, really, really poor. When we checked in, it appeared they tried to downgrade our room by giving us two twin beds, rather than one king that we had booked and was confirmed in the confirmation email and in the app. We enquired and they insisted that we booked a twin room, I pulled up the email and they offered the original king room. This did take about 70 minutes. The room was small and dark. The bathroom taps didn’t stay on (physically fell off) and there was constant interruptions with the hot water No upgrade with Accor platinum and had to follow up for the welcome gift in the room. The breakfast was really quite good and location is great for walking to both Pitt Street Mall as well as circular quay. Across the board, the service was lacking immensely. We just spent the week at Sofitel Darling Harbour and everyone was exceptional - the rooms were large, the service was brilliant and the club was great. We thought we would stay here for my partner’s birthday but was profoundly disappointed. We would never come back to this hotel and would actively recommend others booking somewhere else, especially in consideration of the room rate per night.

From the moment you arrive at the front of this beautiful building you feel welcome. Greeted like a VIP and tested that way the entire stay. Genuine friendly staff who are there for you to ensure your stay us memorable. Comfortable rooms, delicious food with a selection to satisfy any taste. I felt very relaxed after my stay due to the care and consideration of every aspect.

This was my first time staying at the Wentworth and I was pleasantly surprised. This historic hotel is so stylish and beautifully decorated. The rooms were clean and well maintained and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need. The big stand out is the staff, so many attentive and polite staff ready to make your stay the best. From the door, to reception, to the Club Millésime, to housekeeping and a turn down service, all staff were friendly and committed to anticipating your every need. I can’t wait for an excuse to return.

I had a wonderful two-night stay at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth as an Accor Platinum member. The rooms were very comfortable, and I was kindly upgraded to the next room category, which was much appreciated. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, making the overall experience extremely pleasant. The location is fantastic — within easy walking distance of the Opera House and The Rocks, which made exploring Sydney very convenient. The staff were consistently helpful, and I would especially like to recognize two team members. Ellina at the Millésime check-in counter went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, taking the time to explain the hotel facilities and everything on offer. Sudi at Club Millésime also deserves special mention for always welcoming us with a smile and providing outstanding service every time we visited the lounge. Overall, a great place to stay, and I would happily return.
