I’ve been coming to Specsavers Hurstville for eye tests and glasses for years, and my parents also come here regularly. We’ve always had very good experiences, which is why today’s appointment was particularly disappointing. I booked an appointment because my eye felt uncomfortable after wearing contact lenses yesterday, and I noticed some bleeding, so naturally I was quite concerned. The optometrist examined my eye very quickly — the whole examination took less than five minutes — and told me there appeared to be a minor infection and recommended Chlorsig eye drops. He then said he would check the fridge to see if he had some available, so I wouldn’t need to go to a pharmacy and it would also be cheaper. He came back with what appeared to be a 0.5 mL sample and charged me $6. I was genuinely shocked when I later realised that a full 10 mL bottle of Chlorsig costs around $8 at a pharmacy. It left me feeling very uncomfortable about the whole interaction, particularly as I had come in worried about my eye and trusted the professional advice I was being given. I recently did my eye check up on Hurstville optometrist. They really helped me a lot here. I got better prescription and glasses, and now my head feel much better and lighter. I also realised that I used to keep getting this agitated feeling due to bad prescription and lenses, and I was on that prescription for 3 to 4 years, which is horrible. I am so glad that I made this visit, it really saved my life. Also, the customer service was really nice and super friendly. Thank you very much for all your support.

I was desperately needing new frames and needed a fast turnaround. I was so impressed with the team at Specsavers Hurstville. The offered a very warm, efficient and consistent service. I received two pairs of hot new frames in a week.

This was my first visit to the shop, and I was impressed! The staff were attentive and very helpful. They assisted my mother in arranging her eye test, and the optometrist did an excellent job, being very patient in communicating with her. I especially want to thank the staff member named Mykio (not sure about the spelling). I also appreciated that they have multilingual staff available. Outstanding service overall—I highly recommend this optical shop!

All the staff were very welcoming. I got in on time. My optometrist, Cafe Huynh, was professional & personable. Naomi, who followed up with selection & fitting, was great. There was a wide choice of frames. It was a much bigger space than I originally thought. I went back for 2 adjustments & it was not bother. I would highly recommend.
