Tong Li Supermarket Parramatta

I have shopped at Tongli supermarket in Westfield Parramatta from time to time. Few months ago, I made a special trip to Tongli Parramatta to do my grocery shopping, one of the items was Chinese hairy melon on a Thursday night. I arrived in the shop around 7pm and found the vegetables were already taken off the shelves and returned to the back room. I asked one of the floor staff if he could go inside to bring me 3 Chinese hairy melons out for me because I came specially for hairy melons but would buy other items as well since I was already in the shop! He told me to come back tomorrow to buy them because he had already taken all the vegetables back in the back room. I asked him” don’t you close at 9pm tonight? Why so early taken all the vegetables back at the back?” He was adamantly refused to help out! To him, customers are inconvenient! We should do things according to his schedule! I haven’t shopped at Tongli since that Thursday night! I have been shopping at the local green grocer in Castle Hill! The stuff in the shop are extremely fresh and customer services are superb!!!!

A decent delection of Asian pantry items, snacks and random items at quite reasonable prices. My only qualm is the customer service or lack thereof. Each time I go to this store I feel like I have asked for a discount or for the items for free (no greeting, thank you, receipt…. zilch). (Think of it like the Soup Naz% epidode of Seinfeld). I gave Tong Li Cabramatta five stars as their customer service is great. This one here in Parramatta is very abrupt, curt and leaves a lot to be desired.

They never stock up and increases price every week. It was cheaper than other asian grocery store when they first reopened but now they are more expensive and it's only been a month since their "grand reopening" The icecream fridge's been empty for weeks and when I asked the staff when they'll restock it they said 'I don't know'. So lazy and incompetent. Better change their attitude if they want to keep running business

Bigger is better, newer is even better. Got a lot of good stuff. Been waiting for an Asian grocery store in Parramatta. Glad to see you back. Asian deli food stalls inside are very tasty too. Currently 5 stars, keep up the good work.
