Eating out in Australia ranges from beachside takeaways to hatted dining rooms, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. If you have dietary needs, most kitchens will adapt a dish if you ask. Licensed venues serve alcohol; BYO places let you bring a bottle for a small corkage fee. Tipping is appreciated but never expected.

Sydney is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Getting around Sydney is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy centres, and most suburban shops have their own car park. Public transport and ride-share apps such as Uber and DiDi operate across New South Wales's larger cities.

As melbournians on holiday we went here to watch the AFL. The bar snacks were delicious drinks were good and we won the footy too. Special mention to the staff on duty Saturday afternoon 11/4 they really helped make our afternoon. Helped with GF options too

We booked a booth & ordered x2 Margarita's & a bottle of wine. The x2 $25 ($50) Margarita's arrived without salt around the rims .. our reaction was "where's the salt?" .. waitress says "we don't do Margarita's with salt here". We've been around and never have we had a Margarita without salt around the rim. .. at $25 each we felt ripped off .. but as older Australians didn't want to make a fuss. On this alone I wouldn't recommend York 25 sportsbar. The food was ok but nothing special & prices were on the high side. We were disappointed as we popped in Thursday afternoon to make the booking for the Saturday night. The young bloke who took our booking was wonderful and I can't help but think he too would be disappointed as our booth booking had also been overridden & we were pushed to a table .. we pushed our booking was for the booth & was told "no worries". Can't help but feel disappointed and as for the Margarita's we were definitely ripped off. Richie Vosper

Has potential to be an excellent sports bar. However, I was confronted with somewhat overly aggressive security as I entered the front door. Was not drunk nor dressed inappropriately, and was let in however after significant questioning. Felt like a police interrogation. Couldnβt relax afterwards, noticed security watching at all times. Will seek alternative bars in the future.

Chicken parmi was amazing!! Great flavour to the red sauce, chips had peri salt on them and you can get a side of aioli - perfect! They also have happy hour 4-6, and the kitchen is open all day from 12pm onwards (doesnβt close for late lunch like loads in the area)

Ascend the stairs of Hotel CBD and you get to this somewhat hidden sports bar. Scores of big and small screens on every wall and in every direction, just as it should be. Decent selection of tap beer and a few bottles, similar with other types of booze. Snag yourself a private booth and you can watch a game on the big screen and a separate game on your screen. A sports lovers paradise, equipped with a TAB!
