First time having buckwheat baking goods. I did not like it at the first bite (as I thought it’s made of pour) but after doing research, can understand the charm of buckwheat. The cinnamon like nutty taste has given this Pain au Chocolat another layer of life. Twice baked croissant was not of my liking, croissant was a bit too dry on the outside and the paste was too sweet. But the entire flavour was very balanced, especially for the subtle Thyme aroma. Very impressed with the nut in the syrupy paste, well baked before mixing in, so it still provided the crunchiness and macadamias aroma in your mouth.

Nice little spot with outdoor seating, I got a pie and apple tarte tatin. The tarte tatin was nice and perfectly balanced with the cream on top, very good. The brisket pie, in a tin was hard to get out and lacked structural integrity. Almost fell apart completely by the time I managed to get it out the tin but was good and tasty, paired well with the bbq sauce.

AP Place has amazing customer service, and their pastries are absolutely incredible. Everything is so fresh, perfectly flaky, and beautifully balanced in flavour never overly sweet. The fig danish is my absolute favourite and an absolute must try. It’s seriously so good. Their savoury options are just as impressive too, especially the sandwiches and the egg sando, which is sooo good. Their cold brew is also really nice, and I love that they add a slice of orange. It gives it such a refreshing twist and makes it extra delicious. If i am close by i always get my cold brew from AP. Definitely try to get there early because they sell out of almost everything very quickly! I am yet to try something here which i don’t like.

Got the Porchetta - $24. It was okay, it was filled with pork, aioli and mustard seeds and bitter greens. Lots of pork and crackle but overwhelmed by the mustard sauce that you couldn’t appreciate it! Didn’t really understand the hype as it was pretty expensive for a small slice. Wouldn’t be able to share between two and be full. Otherwise, the vibes were great and staff were friendly, I’ll try something else next time!

AP Bakery in Sydney CBD is such a great spot for fresh, quality bakes 🥐✨ The vibe is very simple and laid-back, but the food really speaks for itself 🤍 You can tell everything is made with great ingredients and attention to detail. I tried the focaccia with their prosciutto & burrata 😍🔥 and both were sooo good! The focaccia was soft, fluffy, and perfectly baked, while the prosciutto burrata was super satisfying. It was creamy, savory, and just really well-balanced. Such a good combo ✨ Everything felt fresh and high quality, making it such a satisfying meal. Overall, a must-visit if you love good bread and simple but delicious food 💫 Would definitely come back again!
