For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, is it busy at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. Australian cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon, while restaurants and pubs run lunch and dinner services with a quiet spell in between, so an off-peak visit is worth a quick call. Card and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere; some venues add a surcharge on weekends and public holidays.
The business lists hours on 1 day of the week. On most of those days it is open 6 am–7 pm. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0410 969 700. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a mobile. More information is available on its website, luneburger.com.au.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 570 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded bakeries & cakes in Sydney.
Sydney is in New South Wales, on Australia's east coast, where summers are warm and humid, winters are mild and businesses keep to standard hours year-round with the usual public-holiday changes. Getting around Sydney is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy centres, and most suburban shops have their own car park. Public transport and ride-share apps such as Uber and DiDi operate across New South Wales's larger cities.

Authentic German baked goods in the pedestrian arcade under the Queen Victoria Building. The QVB bakery established in 2005 is the first of a chain of German cafes named after Lüneburg south east of Hamburg. The baked goods including loaves, pastries and pretzels are baked in the German tradition and there are sometimes German-speaking staff behind the counter. Seating is limited and the atmosphere is a little comprised by the pedestrian walkway location. But it is really convenient if you are in the city shopping, or have a bus or train to catch. I have been a customer since the bakery opened in 2005 and always find the sandwiches fresh and tasty and there are plenty of healthy choices.

I ordered the ham seeded roll. Tasty roll and ingredients inside, however there was barely any ham, cheese and salad. Nice tasting pesto. Helped to bring all the ingredients together. I haven’t been to one of these bakeries in over five years. There was definetly more filling inside back then. Overall, the sandwich is good for a quick bite to eat but not enough to call it a meal. Great location. Easy to get something to eat before or after a train trip.

The food was really good taking into account that we are in Australia. I had a salt bretzel, a jam Berliner (donut) and a vegetarian sandwich. All three things were really good but not the best of my life. However it is located in a station so it’s not the nices spot.

Finally tried this spot and my god the savoury sandwiches are the way to go! They are so flavourful and have a good amount of filling. Would be better toasted but still good! Love their sweet selection as well. The doughnuts were so good! Also loved the custard tart!

10/10 recommend this underground bakery. Blueberry muffin and Marzipan Croissant were still warm from the oven on site. The Cafe Latte fresh ground and creamy. Friendly and efficient staff. Plenty of spotless tables. Cheery and bright atmosphere. Definitely coming back to sample the fresh made sandwiches. Cheers!
