About SALTED. Cafe & Bakery

Salt in the bread, salt in the coffee. We're an Asian bakery and Vietnamese coffee cafe in Sydney CBD, two minutes from Wynyard, open for takeaway breakfast and lunch. We've got a shio pan obsession. Salt bread: soft, buttery buns with a sea-salt crust, baked in trays through the day. Then we folded the flavours we grew up on into croissants, pastries and scrolls, sweet or savoury, for fun: matcha almond, beef rendang, chilli maple bacon. Matched with our sustainable specialty coffee from Vietnam's Central Highlands, roasted in Sydney, and hand whisked matcha. Salt got into the drinks too: salted iced coffee latte, salted iced matcha latte. Made with love by the Hustlers.Syd team (AGFG Chef Hat). Come early, or come often.

Absolutely loved this place! The salt bread was incredible, served warm, perfectly crispy on the outside and so soft and fluffy inside. The coconut matcha was super refreshing, and you could actually taste the matcha, which I loved. The service was so friendly and welcoming too. Will definitely be back… in fact, I’m already craving it again!

This used to be where Cloudhaus cafe is and the offerings are quite similar. We enjoyed all the baked goods we tried: salted bread, $9 garlic butter salted bread and the glazed walnut bun. The $6 hot matcha had a nice color but it’s quite weak and has an astringent taste. While there were many hits, the drink was a miss for me.

Love the buttery and crispy signature salted bread here. I had it with a scoop of ice cream from Messina and the combination was honestly unreal. The warm bread paired so well with the ice cream. I’d love to see Salted offer their own ice cream bread sandwich thingy in the future lol.

Really enjoyed my visit! The cafe has a lovely ambience, the staff are super friendly, and the customer service was great. Everything is good value too. The signature salt bread has been my favourite so far, but I’ll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu!
