Banksia Bakehouse offers gourmet sweet and savoury pastries and is well know for their incredible cakes. Most times of the day when you visit, expect a queue, which if anything attributes to the quality of its products and explains why people are willing to wait. I ordered a three cheese asparagus danish that I reheated once back in the office for a few seconds - wow!! The crispness of the danish dough, the flavour and freshness of the asparagus, the cheese and overall flavour combination of the danish is enough for a five start rating. However when I tried the Green Orchard Choux later in the day, WOW! It’s a piece of art to look at and to eat with cleverly paired flavour combinations and different textures with each layer of the pastry. Banksia products can be found to be more expensive than other bakeries in the area. Just know the quality, the diversity, and the creativity of the sweet and savoury baked items are what you’re paying for. Highly recommend!!

Top notch quality croissants and coffee. The cakes look gorgeous too. I was brave and had a vegemite croissant which was way better than expected, all the flavours went well and there were savoury sprinkles. Very drinkable batch brew coffee, friendly staff. Not much seating, it's better for take away. I'll have to go back for a yuzu pineapple cakie.

Great takeaway. Don’t plan on a dine in. Pricey but creative pastries. The pastry itself is quite good - standard quality as most Korean owned pastry places like moon phase or crescent croissanterie. The almond croissant was the favourite. Beats the one from rollers bakehouse

WOW! Again we went late in the afternoon and didn't get a chance to view the full range. I will say that the bakery smell was divine. We got a chocolate chip cookie and white chocolate macadamia cookie at $7 each. They were large and competitive in price. Not too sweet and super moist. I have to go back because the rest of the range looks so good.

I was just passing by and found this little bakery around Circular Quay, not easy to find. Everything looks pretty, especially cakes and pastries. They have pies, sandwiches and other stuff as well, but I picked Santa croissant and Kimchi pastry. First of all, they should have offered the savoury pastry to heat up!!! It tasted nice but felt ordinary when cold and dry chicken pieces hit my tongue. It would have been much better. The santa hat pastry was good with chocolate cream and caramel sauce inside, but somehow the pastry felt soggy. The top pompom tasted weird - I think the cream was not cow cream, as it was too white for it. The price is at the high end. The service was efficient but not great, felt they are rushing me… well there was no queue and lots of options but no one was helpful, just giving me β€œpick one now and pay” pressure.. not that they were rude, but asked me if I was ready to order 3 times. But the atmosphere is good. I took them to the Sydney harbour for the view but the cafe itself looks modern and nice. Little fountain and nice seats inside and outside, it certainly felt nice to eat in.
