It might be because I've had simple insurance claims, but I can't fault Allianzfor their process', speed and simplicity. BTW, my Allianz insurance is via NAB, who poached all my insurance (via the normal "let's do a review" when I took out an agribusiness tractor loan in 2017. Anyhow, we lost our retirement property near Eden NSW in 2020 during the Black Summer fires, and lastly we lost our backup 4WD (on loan to our son) in 2026. In both instances Allianz were quick to assess and pay out the claim. In both instances the used loss adjusters to do a proper assessment of the claim. In no way did they ever try to use either double speak or "conditions' or "clauses" to try and diminish their responsibility. In both instances the settlements were accurate and "on the money" for what both parties could expect. There were some excesses in both cases but my wife and I walked away content with the final solution.

Just dont. Enough said. Dont waste your time or your money. They're rude, they just cancel cover if they cant take money & they deny pretty much every claim you attempt to make. There are thousands better out there, even at the worst the competitor is far better than Allianz. Theyve got enough of my money, I know that for sure. Once you leave a review they pull the please contact us card. Ever tried that, be ready for at least 2 hours on hold all to no avail.

Terrible to deal with. Avoid at all costs. We're part of the claim process through the at fault driver where our car was written off. The level of incompetence is staggering. Information is inconsistent and most staff we've spoken to have been incredibly unhelpful. Arranging our hire care took 3 hours and 3 separate calls. Waiting on email confirmation nothing, no booking processed with the car company, disconnected call instead of transferring. Only the final staff member actually made the arrangements from start to finish but by then the hire car company had closed so we had to wait another day. Similarly the only company they use in our area closes prior to my husband finishing work with no option for out of hours drop off. Allianz wouldn't even extend by one day to the weekend to allow us to drop it off. So we are trying to work out how to return the car without losing a days pay...their solution was to drop it off on the lunch break and get an uber back. Real helpful for a one hour round trip, not taking into account paperwork and waiting for an uber, to fit into a 30min break out of area. Furthermore we never received a confirmation email of our settlement which we were wait

I had a fantastic experience with Julie from Allianz today while arranging house insurance. She was incredibly professional, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Julie took the time to clearly explain the coverage options and helped me find a policy that suited my needs without any pressure. Her customer service was outstanding, and she made what could have been a complicated process feel straightforward and stress-free. I truly appreciated her responsiveness and attention to detail. Would leave no stars if possible. Have had a hole in my lounge room roof left following a leak. Three separate contractors “tried” to determine the source of the leak. Four months later they can’t find the leak until sending out another inspector after my complaint as they wanted to close the case and leave the leak and the hole in ceiling unresolved. They have put me through a million calls speaking insurance language and basically this policy is junk is the upshot. Whilst cheaper than other insurers Allianz is not there when you need help with a claim and they are happy to give you the run around. Thousands of dollars on a wasted policy and zero customer service and still have a hole in my roof left by their people. Compared dramatically to the same experience with a different insurer in another state who had it all resolved within a week and minimal disruption. When i mentioned going to the Ombudsman for assistance on them denying the part of the claim that is eligible- “the builders might not want to take on that work- i’d have to ask them”- she instantly said well I’ll just deny the claim entirely and close it then. This is what Allianz propose is good customer service- a gar
