The worst service ever! I wanted to try puff pastry but the server told me to wait for 10mins because she’s feeling busy without customers (yes, no customers at that moment!). When I cancelled the order, she felt relieved & happy. What a bummer!

Very disappointed service… not even kidding with the service staff…. I ask the staff about is the butter toek still available then the staff keep ignore me….in the morning i have bought some butter teok and come back again in 1 hour to buy some more… but the staff service really disappointed. Not even a joke…i hope the management realize this things… as the google review has low review againts the staff…i hope they change the experience staff with good service.

I visited Bengong’s Metro at Chatswood a few times since it opened a few months ago. The shopfront looks modern and inviting, but the pricing is quite dear considering how small the portions are for most of the bakery items. I also noticed that the shelves can look quite empty on some days. They seem to stock a wider range of bakery products from Thursday to Saturday, but the selection is noticeably limited earlier in the week. Overall, it’s visually appealing and convenient, but the value for money and consistency of product availability could be improved.

I regularly visit Bengong Bakery mainly because some of their items are genuinely amazing. The Jumbo Croissant Egg Tart and the Cheese Gold Brick are my absolute favourites and both are definitely must-tries. The quality and taste of these items are what keep me coming back. However, the customer service has been consistently disappointing. The shop is small, but even on days when there are enough staff members, customers are often left waiting in long queues while some staff stay at the back instead of helping serve. One issue I face on almost every visit is when I order the Cheese Gold Brick. I specifically ask for one from the fresh tray kept inside rather than from the display shelf, but staff repeatedly tell me to just take it from the shelf myself. If I wanted to grab it myself, I would have done so already. The whole point of ordering at the register is to receive a fresh one directly from the tray inside. What makes the experience worse is the attitude shown when asked. The staff often make faces or act as though it is an inconvenience to simply pack the bread for customers. The bread was nice and creative, staff normally are friendly. but unfortunately today meet a rude and aggressive one with grey hat which will make you feel this kind people is hiring for destroying company’s business & image.
