For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, is it busy at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. Australian cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon, while restaurants and pubs run lunch and dinner services with a quiet spell in between, so an off-peak visit is worth a quick call. Card and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere; some venues add a surcharge on weekends and public holidays.

Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9:30 am–7 pm. Hours in Australia do change around public holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Dragon Pastry Chatswood on 0488 116 666; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Delicious Chinese sweet soups and pastries at Dragon Pastry. Fast efficient service. Our desserts came out quickly. The black sesame and almond soup had good flavour. The everything bowl was generous in its toppings. Restaurant was clean. Good place to stop by and grab a sweet dessert after a meal in Chatswood.

A nice place with nice Chinese pastries and dessert for people like to try something different. They have some very interesting but good tasting range of pastries such as the Jacaranda coconut and the rose flower. Both are fragrant but not overly sweet. Their milk pudding served warm is also good, it’s light and fluffy not too sweet. Price wise is reasonable, it is a place to get something a little extra after a meal. In terms of service it’s not bad and good amount of seating. Would definitely come back to try other pastries and desserts available.

I visited the shop when there were no customers inside, and the staff were chatting in the kitchen area. The desserts looked very appealing, and I was considering placing an order. However, I noticed a cockroach walking around near the display, which made me feel uncomfortable and decide not to order. I don’t mean any harm by sharing thisβ€”just hoping it can help improve hygiene standards for future customers. I’m sharing this as constructive feedback and hope it can be helpful.

Had such a lovely dessert stop today! The bowl was packed with a great mix of textures - creamy, chewy, and refreshing all at once. It was very nice and, importantly, not overly sweet, which made it easy to enjoy every bite without feeling heavy. The highlight for me was definitely the taro tart pastry, perfectly flaky with a smooth, tasty taro filling. Absolutely loved it! Would happily come back again for a light and satisfying treat.

The desserts look so delicious and a lot of variety to choose from. Definitely a good place to buy sweets as gifts. You can see the handmade details especially for the flower-shaped pastries. All reasonably priced. Most of the pasties have a dense filling like a paste but more crumbly. The taro mochi ball wrapped in plastic wrap tastes good but is very sticky. Each of them tastes uniquely different. If you visit here for the first time then it’s best to just buy three that look good to you as a sampler.
