Great steak. Ordered the $26 deal. Wagu 150g with fries. Fantastic. About a 15 minute wait. Ordered my steak medium and came out medium with very crispy fresh fries.

Stopped by Butchers Grill at Paddy’s Markets for a quick work lunch and ended up trying a few different cuts from the menu. It’s a great concept: picking your meat and having it grilled fresh in front of you. The steaks were cooked well and seasoned properly. My only real criticism is that I’d love the cuts to be a bit thicker, or have the option to choose the thickness. Especially when you’re paying by the kilo anyway, it feels like something customers should be able to have a say in. The quality was there; I just found myself wishing for a more substantial bite. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient, making it an easy lunch spot if you’re in the area. Definitely worth a try if you’re a meat lover.

NEEDS CREAMY MUSHROOM SAUCE!! Very good steak and staff. Located next to the fish and chip shop. They don't charge extra to cook if you select from the display counter. Pay for whatever amount you want. The $31 a kilo Rump steak was suprisingly nice. The $129 a kilo Wagyu scotch was nice too. (Steak was around $30) One suggestion though, they desperately need to do a creamy mushroom sauce or gravy - the onion gravy they have now isn't that nice (probably dominated by peppercorn flavour). Will definitely come back!

Just enjoyed the steak and frites from here and it was oustanding, for $26 cheaper and better than a pub feed. The sauce was bursting with flavour the addition of parsley and an elevated gravy and chips below. Cant wait to return

The Butcher’s Grill is a refreshingly straightforward steak spot. There are no white tablecloths, no complimentary bread, nor plates or metal cutlery, and no traditional steakhouse sides , just quality meat grilled to order at market prices. Sides such as salad or fries are available for an additional $10. After picking your protein in the meat fridge, you find your own table while your steak is grilled (about 10–15 minutes). In the meantime, you can grab a glass of Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir from a neighboring bar stall for $8 — a pleasant surprise in terms of value. My wagyu steak was AUD$24, and with wine, the total came to $32 AUD (roughly US$23). That’s exceptional value for premium Australian beef. We also ordered three flavorful lamb chops for AUD17, which were equally enjoyable. There’s no real ambience, it’s market-style seating in a busy food hall but that’s part of the appeal. The focus here is clearly on the quality of the meat rather than the setting. With so many food options inside Paddy’s Market, it’s worth exploring. But if you’re looking for an affordable, well-cooked steak without the formality of a traditional steakhouse, The Butcher’s Grill delivers excellent
