In the plus side, they do stock a lot of gear that is hard to find elsewhere. On the downside their staff are consistently clueless. I keep trying to give them business as the owner is a nice guy but the staff are beyond useless. Even something as simple as trying to buy a tube is a rigmarole that ends up in some sort of charades or interpretive dance. If I can be bothered giving them another go I'll bring a whiteboard so we can try pictionary as a method of communication

I had a prolonged terrible experience with Fastgear's owner, which involved reporting him to Fair Trading (so they now have a record) and ultimately involving my lawyer to get a refund on a wetsuit. I won’t go into all the detail as it would require an essay even longer than the below and he will no doubt explode in his reply, accusing me aggressively of all manner of things. (As seems to be the pattern in all the replies in these google reviews, he either takes no responsibility for complaints at all, or gives a half-baked apology). The bottom line is that John recommended the wrong sized wetsuit to me, despite me saying I wanted to check with the official size guide before putting the order through. He insisted he knew what size I needed from my height and weight (and due to his 30 yrs vast experience - a reoccurring theme... every time my lawyer or I would advocate for a fair conclusion to this matter, apparently we were questioning his expertise and he would go off at the deep offence we seemed to cause). I received a wetsuit with deep "wrinkles" in the neoprene, with no box and no invoice (I chased the latter several times to no avail) and so evidently too small (extremely

Awesome staff and amazing service , Eduardo is a very knowledgeable and experienced triathlete, his recommendations on wetsuits and trisuits got me through my second triathlon experience hassle free!!!!

I place an online order, After 10 days no confirmation. Called them. We don't have stock of the 6 different items. Message later if we don't get back you with a further response. No further response despite messaging. This is a very common story on google reviews for this shop. Taking money for stock they don't have. Then not bothering to tell you. You waste people's time. Don't waste your time with this shop. After more than two weeks No communication from this seller apart from excuses in response to this review. No refund made. I had to waste significant time with my credit card provider arranging a charge back. Selling stock that you don't have and not communicating with the buyer and not arranging for a refund , I believe is dishonest unconscionable behaviour. I am not here to fund your business for free.

Fast Gear is the best triathlon store in Australia. If you’re lucky, you might even run into the legend himself, John Hill. The amount of knowledge and wisdom he brings is something you simply won’t find anywhere else. The products are excellent, the service is great, and the whole store is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Fast Gear.
