Average laksa here, chicken tender and fresh. Noodles bouncy and refreshing. Though the laksa broth was average. Not thick or creamy enough. Only some coconut milk taste and a bit of aroma. You could taste some MSG in it, and the broth also was the watery type. It lacked a wow factor and a differing taste. Can come try if you are close by, but not worth the effort going a long distance to eat here. Not much indoor seating, outdoor is a bit windy but all right. Staff very kind and helpful.

Reliable and delicious meal in the heart of the city, always crave it and have to get my fix! Would recommend the chicken and king prawn laksa, as they are incredibly generous with the protein and the prawns are nice and plump.

Normally great food. But today I ordered the beef clear soup and it was basically warm water with some very unappetising chewy beef. Zero flavour. Zero taste. Very disappointing. I asked for a small amount of chilli and didn’t get any. Definitely the worst meal I’ve ordered in a long time. Inedible. Their stir fries and laksas are very good but please make the broth something more than just clear warm water!

We ordered the prawn noodles and seafood laksa—both were spot on. The prawn noodles were rich and aromatic, packed with deep prawn flavour. The seafood laksa had a creamy broth that was full-bodied yet not overly oily.

After shutting down its original Hunter Street location to make way for the new Metro Station, the legendary Malaysian eatery re-emerged near Circular Quay, bringing its chaotic customer service to Sydney Place. The prices have gone up due to inflation, but the line of Laksa craving people persists. The Laksa broth continued to exhibit that deep orange glow and that pile of sambal ensured that fiery flavour. The Har Mee brought an intense prawn flavour with tender pieces of pork, and that pile of sambal once again to keep things exciting. The seating is a mix of indoor (in the tunnel leading to the toilets) and outdoor (shared tables in the courtyard), with an expectation on customers to return their dirty dishes through the giant hole in the wall.
