Beautiful food, good portions and helpful attentive staff! We went on a Sunday at 1:30pm and it was quire quiet in the CBD as it often is but I think this has potential to be busy during the week. The vodka pasta was really good and I definitely recommend the cacio pepe fritta for starters. My friend had the 100 layer lasagne and this also tasted amazing

Lolly was a great server! Very bright and bubbly from the moment we sat down. She was attentive and very happy to help with any questions or requirements. The food was delicious! Great variety and the GF was delicious. Highly recommend for a nice lunch out or dinner.

We arrived around 5:30 pm when the restaurant was still quite empty, but we were seated quite close to another table. The bald waiter came across a bit abrupt when we said we didn’t want to drink but he was fine afterwards. The pizza was quite doughy and chewy, and the toppings weren’t anything special. The mafaldine granchio was just alright, I’ve had better prawn bisque pasta elsewhere. The highlight was definitely the rigatoni vodka, perfect texture with creamy sauce, only thing I would reorder tbh. Overall for the price and food quality, I think there are much better options in the city.

We enjoyed a fabulous evening at Matteo Downtown! Yuri gave us magnificent service and the food was absolutely delicious. One of the best restaurants we have encountered. A wonderful experience from start to finish. We loved it!! THANK YOU SO MUCH all the staff, until next time! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Had an amazing experience at Matteo Restaurant thanks to Yuri! The service was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Yuri made us feel very well looked after and added so much to the overall dining experience. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and outstanding hospitality. Will definitely be back!
