A great museum with a lot of history and interesting information about the Freemasons. The entrance is through into the main hall entrance and up the lift to level 3. Pretty quiet but very friendly people. Definitely recommended. Completely free.

Interesting museum. Free & open to non-freemasons like me. I'm a fan of esoteric & hermetic knowledge, symbology, and sacred geometry. By the end, I still didn't really understand what the tracing boards represent, or what goes on in the Scottish & York rites, nor the Royal Arch chapter. You could say it opened up more questions than it answered.

My husband Steve and I were recently visiting Sydney from New Zealand and decided to embrace our inner curiosity with a visit to the Museum of Freemasonary. We were absolutely over the moon by just how good this museum is, from the artifacts on display, to the impressive architecture of the building inside. The Grand Hall is amazing. Lovely people! Upon our return to New Zealand we are now considering joining our local lodge, and sending the kids to Demolay as well. Thanks for a wonderful day out MOF! Love and sunshine.. Karen and Steve Brewer!

They offer a guided tour on their website, however, be aware that the gentleman who looks after this is not willing to help with the booking process at all. I'd called him a week before to book my visit and was told that they hadn't got a spot for the entire week due to "high demand" so I booked the tour for the week after. When I got there, this same gentleman said there was no instructor available and that the demand was fairly low for this service. No one was at the library during working hours too. Totally unprepared to receive tourists. You better rely on the audio guidance and save yourself $10 backs.
