Honestly such a gem in the city. Went on a whim with my partner and we had a great time there. A lot of interesting tidbits about the first fleets, artefacts and stories were presented engagingly and amusingly, with short movies here and there. The one in Yura Nura room was heartbreaking. There’s a fun interactive archeology game room with three different activities; the digging game, sketch, and puzzle. Ambience is nice, it’s quiet, and it’s extraordinarily calming inside (especially in the colouring area with sounds of birds chirping). Saw a lot of visitors from all ages enjoying the game room and colouring peacefully together it’s actually adorable ☺️ The staffs were fantastic, couldn’t be friendlier and were all happy to chat and help. Had lovely small talks with some of them, just great energy and enthusiasm. The little gift shop has all sorts of cute trinkets and there’s a fun old school pressed pennies machine nearby. We ended up spending hours there and glad we did! Museums are amazing as it encourages learning for everyone from all ages and walks of life. A quick and easy museum to visit if you want to learn about a small part of Sydney’s history. It’s only two floors, so it doesn’t take too long to go through, but it’s still interesting and well done. I especially appreciated the cinema room showing archival footage, which added a nice touch to the experience. They also have a digging activity area that’s great for kids and makes the visit a bit more interactive for families. Nice little stop if you’re in the area.

For a FREE activity in the city a stop here offers approval from the kids when they enjoy the activities on the top floor that change throuout tge tear add the fun of the and a history lesson for anyone else Combine this with the hands on interactive area and you could easily spend a solid amount of time here. Its spotless its fun and tye atmosphere is calm. Highly reccomended a visit here ☆☆☆☆☆

Nice museum, free entry, and not too crowded on a weekday morning. The museum is relatively big, different levels and different exhibitions. Nice experience overall, they will ask you about your census in the entrance, but that's all. You can visit and explore at your own pace

Worthy of a visit—especially great for kids and tourists wanting to learn more about Australia. Free entry. Inside, you’ll find impressive large dinosaur fossils, a wide range of Australian minerals, and fascinating displays of local flora and fauna.
