Jess did an amazing job with my hair! I had highlights, a colour, and a cut, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. She really listened to what I wanted and offered great advice to achieve the perfect look. The colour is beautifully blended, the highlights look natural and vibrant, and the cut suits me perfectly. Jess is incredibly skilled, friendly, and professional, making the whole experience so relaxing and enjoyable. The service at Otaku Hair Chatswood was exceptional from start to finish. I highly recommend Jess to anyone looking for a talented hairstylist. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Im such a regular here i could be apart of the furniture. Im no longer gatekeeping my favourite hairdresser in chatswood. Jess creates magic with my hair every visit and takes such good care everytime. She understands completely what I want each time and knocks it out of the ball park ten fold. The staff are very friendly and Sam is such a treasure. They have great care for their clients and go above and beyond yo provide the best for everyone's needs.

DO NOT COME HERE for a balayage, ombré, or any other hair colouring that requires a blend. Otaku messed up my hair catastrophically. Please see attached pictures of my head for reference. The salon director, Sam/Semin, charged me $430 for this service. It was done by him. $430 for this. $430 for THIS, and on bob length hair too. I booked online to get a balayage done on undyed dark brown hair. See pictures labelled “1” for the results. I simply cannot attribute this to a verbal communication breakdown because: a) I showed him pictures of actual balayages that I liked the look of during our discussion at the beginning of the service. b) What was done to my hair is not a balayage. It is not ombré. It is not a dip dye. It is something new and unusual and terrifying. I booked and paid for a balayage service as advertised on their website. c) EVEN IF I communicated badly or he understood badly, AND if he closed his eyes when I showed him the reference photos, AND if I hadn’t clicked on and confirmed a balayage service online, what he did to my hair is still outrageously bad and it’s unimaginable that he thought ANYbody wanted that done to them and didn’t double and triple check first.

Had a very lovely experience at Otaku yesterday. I came to get Shishedo straightening treatment with Sam. He put a lot of effort and hard work as my hair is very long, thick and frizzy. I walked out of the salon a different person! Completely transformed hair from frizzy and dry to smooth and silky
