The only thing STANDARD is a 300% mark-up in price... Had visited Standard Products during my first trip to Japan a few months ago and was delighted to find out we had its range of inexpensive, elevated, everyday items here. While entering the store took me straight back to the nice time I previously had browsing the range, however, I was disappointed to find the prices so inflated compared to the original prices marked clearly on the products.

I agree with the comments from other reviewers - the pricing is 3x the price of what it sells for in Japan. Better off buying in Japan and bringing it back. The products do look like good quality and shop is neat. Right next to Daiso.

Love that we have Standard Products in Australia now and yes, price is more expensive compared to Japan but I’d rather buy here than buying in Japan to save luggage space for other things. Also the quality are better than similar products we can find here and at better pricing too in my opinion

Having high expectation before visiting was a mistake. All products are hugely overpriced (3 times the original prices of Japan). as you can clearly see from the pricing label in every piece of goods. take an example, a shopping bag looks the same design as Muji. would cost you $15, while Muji is just $5. and a mug cup for $9 - $15? joking right?? The marketing and pricing team are dreaming? I wonder. coming out empty handed. This shop wont last. sorry to say that Daiso!

Premium brand for Daiso, nice minimalist design similar to Muji. Good collection of products, even have some camping and gardening products. However, their price is outrageous, 3 times the price as in Japan. You can find Japanese price tags on their products say for 300 yen, that’s equal to 3 AUD, and they price it for 9 AUD. I get better quality products from Muji for lower prices. The pricing strategy is just fooling the Aussies.
