I only checked the reviews after my visit, and now I understand why there are so many negative ones. The owner should really look into this. The cashier was very rude. I saw her treat the elderly lady in front of me badly, then she roughly threw my items into the bag. I don’t expect amazing customer service, but it shouldn’t be this bad. I spent almost $50, yet another store where I only spent $17 gave me much better service

Absolutely terrible customer service. Today I was spoken to by a male staff member who was openly rude and impatient, using a harsh tone to rush us out as if customers are an inconvenience. It wasn’t “service” — it felt like being shooed away. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in any retail environment. One staff member’s attitude was enough to ruin the entire experience and reflects poorly on the store’s management and training. I won’t be coming back, and I strongly recommend others avoid this place if you expect basic respect.

Tong Li Supermarket is situated in Hurstville train station known as Hurstville Central. I love this supermarket, so many delicious snacks to enjoy.. Please view all the pictures I have uploaded... My favourite was the Durian pie ❤️❤️ I usually buy my fish balls, kimchi or Asian desserts there also.. They have an amazing selection of durian and salted egg range of food which is quite popular overseas in HK & Singapore.
