Westpac Bondi Junction is hopeless in every way. Avoid them for your sanity. Staff are walking around with cups of tea in hand, not even trying to look interested. Managers are asleep somewhere in that space, nowhere to be seen, and customers are waiting endlessly. Make life easy for yourself and move to ANZ.

Don’t trust the official working hours. On Saturday 30 May, before 1:30 p.m., a rude security guard was preventing customers from entering the branch.

Don’t walk , RUN away from Westpac and this branch especially. Customer service 0, knowledge of products 0 all the way from the manager to the tellers. The only pleasant person who knew what was his role was the security guard welcoming you. Westpac head office should you read this know that this branch is 100% responsible for your declining customer base in the area.

I visited the Westpac branch on 10/09/2025 around 2:30pm and had one of the worst banking experiences I’ve ever had. There was no clear signage or guidance when I entered, and I was confused about where to go. A staff member asked me to sit down after taking my mobile number, but I ended up waiting for almost half an hour. When I was finally seen by a staff member, instead of helping me, she made unnecessary comments about why I wasn’t using the app, whispered and laughed with her colleague while I was sitting right in front of her, and then sent me away to wait again after 15 minutes wasting time. After wasting nearly 5 minutes, another staff member solved my simple enquiry in just 2 minutes. When I asked for the first two staff names, they all refused and one even tried to cover her name badge. I was left feeling disrespected, devalued, and treated with no professionalism. I have been a Westpac customer since 2011, but this experience was extremely disappointing and made me feel like I was treated as rubbish, not as a valued customer.
