I wish to raise a concern regarding the service I received. I presented a prescription that, under the government's current chronic medication dispensing arrangements, was eligible for a two-month supply. However, the pharmacist advised me that a two-month supply could only be provided with an authority prescription, which I understand is incorrect. My understanding is that, where a medication is eligible under the current guidelines, the pharmacist should dispense the two-month supply as prescribed and charge the appropriate dispensing fee, rather than charging twice for the supply. I would appreciate clarification of the pharmacy's policy and the reasons for the advice I was given.

Advantage Pharmacy … to the advantage of the owners bank account. Just paid double for a medicine compared to chemist warehouse price, shocking.

I use these for my diabetes scripts and they are really helpful and the doctor in house is very knowledgeable on diabetes. Super convenient being in Westfield as well. A fantastic modern small pharmacy.

Absolutely unprofessional and unhelpful. I was told that they could not help me with a medication request due to my ID not being sufficient yet chemist warehouse on Oxford street helped me immediately. The pharmacist told me that it’s not them but the system they use will not allow anything other than an Australian driver’s licence which is 100% untrue. I was also told misinformation by a staff member that flight pressure ear plus do not exist and to drink some water. Once again, I was able to get all my products needs at chemist warehouse and flight pressure ear plugs are available. Such poor service, extremely annoyed and disappointed.

This pharmacy charged me $13.00 for a $9.00 Ventolin.  When I queried the cost the manager told me that the manufacturer had increased the price due to Covid. Enquiries at another pharmacy confirmed that this was not the case and that Pharmasave Bondi Junction had increased the price.  I went in to talk to them and Michael the manager couldn’t have cared less. To compound this unconscionable behaviour, the pharmacist had the audacity to query why I needed the Ventolin, told me that in the future I should bring a prescription (for a non-prescription item) and that I can only buy another one in four months! Keep away from this pharmacy, there are many others to choose from in the Junction.
