Very frustrating experience with BUPA Chatswood, specifically with staff member W M (let’s call her W. M. for short). She seemed unfamiliar with BUPA’s own system and policy details. She gave me incorrect premium quotes multiple times – each time quoting a higher monthly amount than what my policy should actually cost, we already have the correct figure from other Bupa branch, so we asked her to check again, she finally got it right. On top of that, she also got my policy start date wrong, which caused unnecessary confusion. I had to go back and forth with her via email for hours, yet she still couldn't clearly explain anything or correct the issues. Fortunately, Susie stepped in and resolved everything within just under 10 minutes. She fixed the start date, explained my premium clearly, and made sure everything was accurate. Thank you, Susie, for your professionalism and efficiency. BUPA Chatswood is lucky to have you.

I am posting this review because I am extremely concerned about the inconsistent and potentially misleading information provided by Bupa Chatswood staff regarding travel insurance cancellation. When I purchased travel insurance for my parents in March, I specifically asked about the cancellation process if they returned overseas earlier than expected. I was clearly advised that the policy could be cancelled and backdated to the date they left Australia, provided I could supply evidence such as flight tickets. At around 4:15pm today, when I visited the Chatswood branch to cancel the policy, two separate staff members again confirmed that backdating was possible. However, when the matter was finally processed, the store manager informed me that backdating was not permitted under any circumstances. The issue is no longer about the refund itself. The issue is that multiple Bupa employees provided information that directly influenced my purchasing decision, only for that information to be contradicted when I attempted to act on it. I had a great experience working with Larry while getting an insurance quote. He was incredibly patient throughout the entire process and took the time to explain everything clearly, making sure I understood all my options. His calm and friendly approach made what can sometimes feel overwhelming much easier to navigate. Larry was also very detail-oriented and made sure the quote was tailored to my needs. The staff were helpful and responsive to all my questions regarding upgrading my insurance. I visited on 28 February at around 2:00 pm, although unfortunately I didn’t get the name of the customer service representative who assisted me. I am truly grateful for the excellent service she provided that day. Overall, I have had a satisfying experience with BUPA over the past 5+ years. The waiting time was reasonable, there were several customers ahead of me.
