I like this hostel. Bedroom is comfortable. 3 Toilets not always clean but you can always find one which is “clean enough “ for you to use. Kitchen and public space are clean and always filled with people chatting there. Good atmosphere. Dinner is good and included in the fee. Staff are warm and helpful. 30 min walk to Sydney opera house. I wrote this comment after leaving the hostel and saw a lot of dirty pictures. Actually, I don’t feel that bad. It is not “ always very clean” because a lot of guests using it, but you can feel the staff are cleaning the space every day. Stay for a few days are okay for me. BTW a bit cold for taking showers in winter, temperature of water is not stable, and no heater in shower room.

First of all, we want to mention that we were not paid or encouraged in any way to write this review. We simply had such a lovely stay at this hostel that we wanted to share our experience. The owner, Mirjana, is amazing — she cooks dinner for everyone every night and truly creates a warm, family-like atmosphere. She’s like a mom to all the guests. A special thank you as well to Gem from the staff team, who took great care of us. He was always helpful and went out of his way to assist us with everything we needed, even helping carry our luggage upstairs. The only minor downside is the size of the rooms, but that’s not really anyone’s fault. We truly enjoyed our stay!

The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and the dinner itself was good quality. However, meals are not included in the price except for dinner. On my first day, I arrived only 15 minutes after dinner service started and there was already no food left. On the second day, the meal was good but clearly insufficient for the number of guests staying at the hostel. Cleanliness also needs improvement. The showers and toilets were dirty (photos available), and the rooms were not very clean either. In addition, the organisation was disappointing. I never received a confirmation email and had to wait for check-in despite having a reservation. Overall, the staff were kind, but the lack of organisation, cleanliness, and poor meal management made the experience disappointing.

Cheap stay; so you get what you pay for. No toilet roll for two days in the upstairs toilets ended up buying my own. Raised the mould/room cleanliness issue (pictures attached) and offered a room change but had seen the states of the other rooms through open doors so no better! No actual security if the front gate was left open as glass panel was missing in the front door which means anyone can reach through an open it. Overall the general standard of cleaning a room is hoovering the rooms and moving people’s luggage so It is not in the way. The only positive was that it’s a good location and I was out of the hostel a lot of the time. Save your money and avoid until you want to stay in a semi habitable place.
