I had a great stay at Urban Nomad Kings Cross. The location is excellent, with the train station just a short walk away, making it very easy to get around Sydney. The bed was also very comfortable, so I slept well every night. The staff were friendly, and the hostel was clean. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.

I really didn’t want to leave this review, but hopefully the hostel sees it and uses it as motivation to step up their standards. Where do I start. Each floor has around XX guests sharing just 2–3 toilets, which are consistently dirty and never stocked with soap. The showers are in a similar state, beyond filthy. One bathroom has had a broken lock for a long time, with just a sign warning guests rather than an actual fix. The rooms are freezing, the beds have springs poking through, and the duvets and pillows feel like cheap, thin afterthoughts. The whole place has a persistent unpleasant smell throughout. The kitchen is tiny, barely adequate for the number of guests, and kept in a disgusting condition. During our stay, all three guests in our room were subjected to another guest behaving in an extremely inappropriate and disturbing way. To be fair to the hostel, this is outside of their control… but it’s worth knowing that in a shared dorm environment, anything can happen. Parking is also a nightmare. There’s nowhere to park in the area until 10pm, and if you’re lucky enough to find a spot, you have to move again by 7am. On the plus side, the reception area is genuinely nice

Beautiful hostel in the heart of Kings Cross — such a unique part of Sydney! I loved the rooftop the most; it’s the perfect spot to relax and meet people. The hostel is clean and tidy, with great amenities that made my stay comfortable. The staff were kind and very helpful — they even switched my room quickly and without any hassle, which made me feel really looked after. The people staying here are respectful, and the location is excellent: buses, trains, a supermarket, and the bay are all within easy walking distance (about 10 minutes to the water). I highly recommend this place if you want a stay that leaves you with wonderful memories!
