A great experience staying at Mad Monkey East Side! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and social. It was super easy to meet other travellers, and the staff really helped create a fun vibe. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and there was always something happening, whether you wanted to chill or join in on activities. I made some amazing memories and meet great people during my stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun, friendly hostel experience! Clara was a great help for everything I needed, always wearing a smile on her face!

I Stayed at mad monkey east side for over 2 months and i thought everything about it was amazing! The staff are so friendly and always there to help you of you need anything or even just for a chat. the rooms, kitchen an comunal spaces are kept so clean and tidy by all the staff and the free food they have twice a week is fantastic! 10/10 the best mad monkey in the kingscross area!!!

But the absolut best was the staff, who were welcoming and always happy to help with recommendations and questions. The location was perfect — close to public transport, restaurants, and main attractions. Loved the social vibe and met great people from all over the world. Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, and I would happily come back.

Honestly one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve travelled a lot and stayed in loads of hostels, but Mad Monkey East Side just hits different. It’s super social and so easy to meet people. I made some really good friends here that I actually ended up travelling with afterwards. I also kept coming back to this hostel while travelling because the vibe was just that good. They do free food multiple times a week (which genuinely saves so much money ) and there are loads of social events with free drinks, party games, nights out etc, so it’s basically impossible not to meet people. Also, this is literally the only hostel I’ve ever stayed in with private bathrooms in the rooms which was SUCH a bonus. The location is also amazing. Super close to the city centre, with loads of fast food spots, bars, pubs, restaurants and places to hang out nearby. Everything feels really easy to get to. The whole place has a really fun community feel, loads of cool deals and events, and honestly just really good vibes. If you’re travelling solo or just want to make friends in Sydney, definitely recommend.
